And yet, if Coach Fisher did what he should have on that critical possession (i.e., run the football), Auburn would have been forced to burn all of their timeouts and we likely would've attempted a FG or even scored a TD to extend the lead. not sure why Jimbo keep sticking with Mond, when even to zoo, Mond is not playing well enough to help us win a game two games ago.
Instead, he called pass plays for his inconsistent QB to totally screw up and we all saw what happened after that. Coach Fisher will have to own up to his mismanagement of the game during crunch time.This absolutely should have been a victory.

It's a HC's decision vs an unknown poster on TexAgs. I'd go with the HC.

Agree
Mond and Starkel are not the same. One is a true passer who can hit a wide receiver, the other is a runner who couldn't hit water falling out of a boat. Starkel can process the play and gets the ball out, Mond sits back in the pocket and watches paint dry before pulling the trigger.
Last week, the receivers didn't help Mond. This week, Mond showed his inaccurate passing ability for the world.

When is it officially acceptable to label these qbs as recruiting busts? When Jimbo finally moves on? Jimbo doesn't believe these guys are good he is just biding time until he can get "his guys" in. What else can he do publicly?

Goodness, this is what mid-tier teams do. They are good enough to win, but find ways to lose. I want the Ags to win as much as anyone, but the manner in which this game was lost is pathetic and embarrassing. I had the surrender cobra going on in front of the tv.
Mond makes the stupid play every time. Its the reason people think our OL sucks even ghough our RBs can average damn near ten yards a carry. Mond is the problem and our coaches cant see it, our media wont question it, and we have our last years starter just doing nothing on the bench.

Even the vaunted Nick Saban had a 6- 6 first year at Alabama even losing to a small Louisiana team. Dude, it it happens, good coaches do make mistakes and have losing seasons.
In all fairness when I was younger I used to get more upset about it and more tempered now because I'm older, so I get the fatalistic jump off the ledge attitude of some of the people on here but after decades of Aggie football you do adapt more.
It doesn't mean you except it and like losing but I would just ask you guys to look a little bit at the big picture long term. There's some problems they are going to have to work out but again we were never picked to do a whole hell of a lot this year I think some people just got ahead of themselves. Just my two cents. We poured a lot of money into a program and we should be doing better than this, but if it upsets people that much then maybe they shouldn't be watching and they shouldn't be coming to the games. We don't need them, so I say make good on your threats. More tickets for those who do want to come and support our Aggies. Who are college kids I might remind people.
It's not about excepting mediocrity which a lot of them like to pan off when they're challenged. It's about perspective.

No, experience makes you better and quicker at decision making. That's why so many organizations have their people situationally train and why teams practice. Given time and (good) practice, he will get better.
What we need and haven't had for a long time is consistency. It will hurt, but it will be better in the long run. As it is, we've been bouncing around from one stock to the next looking for quick returns instead of holding one for the long run. That will lost you money far more often than it will make you money.
Think about this...there are a bunch of Ag hunters heading back to their boxes with loaded weapons. Could be dangerous.
