Last tackle would've gotten called targeting from the booth on us. Not that it was. Just that that's what would happen.
I think the main reason, besides the dual threat, that Jimbo went with Mond is he observed Mond takes care of the ball better. Starkel can hit a deep strike but he also throws 1-2 picks a game.
However, I think now Mond is NOT taking care of the ball.

Agree with this 100%>. I liked that Mond wouldn't turn it over. With a defense like ours, you just need a guy who won't lose you the game. If Mond is giving the ball away, that takes away one of his biggest positives.

Oh man you remember baseball! Other teams get easy draws to Omaha? Doesn't matter- they're in Omaha. We make it through Davidson? Well we were lucky so it doesn't count.

This is incorrect.
Any forcible contact to head or kneck area is also targeting. As long as the team making the contact is in maroon with beveled numbers.
