not a rout Convincing win by Bama. The ags moved the balls , the points the Ags scored were not the result of fluke plays or Turnovers or Special teams. If we play that game 10 times a few of the outcomes would likely be a rout.

If Bama makes one mistake in the third quarter it is a tight game and the Ags could pull the upset. Saban gets conservative ends with a convincing but not a rout.

Bama had its toughest game of the year yesterday. Surely someone will do better but my goodness that's a good team.

Bama is a god team and we are clearly showing the potential to be one in the future. I feel worse after this loss than Clemson, but I am reasonable enough to see the signs of future success. Doesn't feel like a rout to me, but yeah, 22 points is a textbook ass whooping.

No it's not.

The game was never really in doubt. The definition of a rout. Covering a +27 point spread isn't really anything to be particularly proud of.

Ags are still a good team and one of the best Bama will face until they reach the playoffs

Yes. We were dominated throughly. We moved the ball some, so there's that.

Anytime your second string is in.....someone is getting routed. You pick who it was ....

Covering is important but not when determining if the game was rout
we can agree to disagree on whether this was a rout, two years ago at Bama was a rout , 77-0 was a rout , UGA at shreveport , UTenn Cotton bowl thise were routs.
We forced Bama to punt a few times and the Ags had a few sustained drives. Bama routed ole miss our game was much more competitive

We were losing by 18 points at half-time and by 29 points at the end of the 3rd quarter.

You can quibble over whether to say we were 'dominated' or 'routed' or whatever. Regardless, we were no where close to winning that game.

Soundly beat = 45-23


In November, especially if Bama crushes other teams by larger scores, 45-23 will look much better.

But, we know they easily could've dropped 60 on us.

That being said, it wasn't as bad as it could have been. We did a lot of things well, and a few things horribly. They capitalized on our mistakes, and didn't make mistakes themselves. And all the breaks went their way.

Not really. Fools gold, but the sips will try and pretend they are trending up until reality crashes down on their heads in two weeks.

Ags on the hand are actually trending up, which will be equally obvious over the next 3 weeks.

at end of 3rd qtr. it was 45-16...and they put in their 2nd's and 3rd's and called off the dogs.....it was a whipping'. Those guys are better than we are....we are better than we were, but if we don't play our best against SC, Ole Miss, State,Kentucky,..we will get beat......Auburn and LSU we will have to play even better than we did against Clemson......Arky and nobody are only games we can count on
