I feel like we see this thread every other season. Whether we're the best x-y team is a meaningless discussion at this point in the season. Let's get at least half way through the season before we discuss where this team is at.

Uh, got manhandled today. Secondary was non existent. O line, was putrid. Who knows, but seems to me like the weaknesses were exposed today, and other teams will do the same before the year is over.
Kentucky may give this team trouble. I know LSU, Auburn, and Miss State will.

Yes, we have a weak OL and Secondary. However, we are the best 2-2 team. Going into the Mississippi State game, we may be the best 5-2 team.

We could have lost to two worst teams. I'm not surprised or particularly disappointed by either loss. We have some clear challenges athletically and depth-wise. And I suspect there were execution tuning issues that can be addressed this year to a certain extent.

I'm curious enough with what I saw to be hopeful of a standout season, still. I'd argue none of the rest of our opponents are quite as prepared and coached as Clemson and Bama.

But sleeping on the rest of the opponents would be bad news.

Moral victories are meaningless....

We played two top 3 teams in the first 4 games so we are predictably 2-2. We don't really know who we are because we beat the snot out of the two teams we should have and lost to two teams we should have. How we play against similarly talented squads the rest of the way will determine what progress has been made.
