1986. I was there. It wasn't just them playing either - they specifically were waiting until Murray went under center than just blasting as loud as they could pointing towards where A&M was on the field. And as you said, several warnings - then 15 yard penalties. It stopped.

IIRC when I was at A&M, if the band was playing when the teams lined up they would keep playing but mute the sound and then go back to full volume once the ball was hiked.

Sure if me taking pride in having been in the Aggie Band means I have no life. I didn't start the thread just commented on. Glad you got your jollies of with the insults.

Perhaps he simply marched to the beat of a different drum. No matter the case, we shouldn't put him through a drumhead trial. In the end, it's only so much drum beating and horn blowing and we should pass the baton to a new topic.

Let's see. About 10 minutes to watch the drill. Then, about another 10 seconds to back it up after noticing them ending up in different spots.

Where, o where, will I ever find that incremental 10 seconds of my life?

I can't imagine taking 5 steps for five yards and hitting the line with my left foot. I swear to this day I still take 30-inch steps. Lol

There was no warning given; the great thing about that penalty was one that happened at SMU and it helped the Aggies win the game but the rule was written by deloss Dodds in the spring of 86 because of what happened at Kyle Field on Thanksgiving of 85 texas felt it was an unfair advantage that the Aggie band could play when Texas had the ball.

Bump a week late but it looked like the band really screwed up the drill for the LSU game. IDK if this has been mentioned or not.

Everyone noticed but has been too ashamed to say anything because it would detract from everything else that happened during that game.
