And this is why everyone should join me in not giving a flip about rankings... they are meaningless. Conference standings is all that matters. Yes, there is technically a playoff, but it's a ****ty one. The only FBS championship that truly exists is the conference championship. The other crap isn't about settling it on the field.

Totally agree. I wish we would also keep that mentality when we are ranked high. A higher ranking always works against you. It puts you in everyone's crosshairs, and messes with your head. Until we finish 1/2 in SECW, we will always be ranked lower, just based on the butt whoopings on their way.

Rankings are generally a prediction of where a team will be ranked at the end of the season. Clemson's schedule is a joke. They should go undefeated. 12-0 would put them at number 2 behind bama. They are not the second best team in the country. I don't think they would be the second best team in the SEC.

UW is 2-0....hmmmmm.

Don't think we should be ranked...have to have a quality win before that can happen.

Gut now says we beat Miss State and LSU. So we should be a Top 20 at least. Frankly, this is probably the first time in watching 30 years of Aggie Football I've ever been giddy in a loss. I haven't felt this way since A&M was in the Top 10 regularly (early 90s). I think we actually take LSU behind the woodshed Thanksgiving weekend (assuming the team is still in tact, major players aren't out).

don't sweat it guys, we're on a good trajectory with this coach and staff... normally i'd be flipping pissed, but i'm very satisfied with this team at the moment. Nothing to see here much less worry about.
