The new coaching staff really is a lot tougher than the old staff. Not that I really doubted it. But you know how it is; you watch the interviews with the players who say things are tougher, and sometimes I wonder (hope) it's real vs just talk.

And while I don't personally approve of cussing (though I've been known to let it fly,) let's face it; among men who are exerting themselves, and being pushed to the point of exhaustion cussing is a fact of life.

In the final scheme of things, I think the Marchiol accusations are more good news (the program really should be a lot tougher) than bad news (unsubstantiated rules violations will blow over quickly.)

Yep. When I was playing football in HS, toward the end of practice, us linemen would be tired and get lazy when getting into our stance, which meant our butts were in the air. The coaches would say things like "you girls are calling that stray to come over with asses that high" and "I've seen you ladies naked, none of you need to worry about getting your dicks in the dirt."

If you're gonna cheat, you need player buy-in. This means it can't be coach-led. Sloppy by Fisher and staff to not get player buy-in before skirting the rules.

Having staff that crosses the line in terms of making players play injured or not listening to their concerns is a BAD thing. Not only is it bad for the players health, its a terrible look when you recruit kids. 24 100 yard sprints on an ankle that is already had past problems? Not good

Exactly, he was a wuss all around... The NCAA won't let him play this year, period... This is a non-starter if you ask me, it's just newsworthy because we're a Trump voting conservative school. 'Merica!!!

Here he is after the week of practice where he said his right ankle continued to swell and bruise all week. He's in the pink shorts.

I remember there being a lot of angst when we got rid of Sherman. My audit professor even wrote an article about why he was upset we fired sherm. Franchione and Sumlin both really stunk and the vast majority of people were glad to see them go.

I'm not so sure the NCAA is going to take too kindly to this kid creating all of these problems with their new rules. I wouldn't be too surprised if he not only had to sit out the year but got suspended some additional time for lying and causing such a stir

I get what you're saying. It's way too early to declare Jimbo a success. That's why I am cautiously optimistic about his ability. Jimbo seems to have the skills to successfully run a big-time college football program. I just hope he is able to bring it all together, but will not be surprised if he can't.

The new guy in charge wants to win. The old guy in charge was comfortable with his guaranteed contract.

I prefer the new guy. If anything, I'm more fired up about Fisher and group. Solid texting on academic sessions too!

People need to wake up and smell the roses.

Since when is cursing in sports something new? Or considered inappropriate?

My high school coaches at a Catholic school dropped F bombs like it was in their job descriptions. We practiced while dinged up. If coaches are going to get in trouble for cussing, then players should get in trouble for cussing on the field. Let's see how that plays out...

rub some dirt on it and get your butt back to work. If he was able to complete that many 100's like everyone has been saying, it must not have been that bad of an injury.

When I was a freshman, I felt like I was going to hurl. I asked the coach if I could take a break. Coach calmly walked me over to the bushes and told me to hurl and get back with the team. Best thing anybody ever did for me.

Pain =/= Injury

A lot of kids, especially now, do not get that.
