I am going to be in Europe for work for the first half of this season. Anyone have any reliable ways to stream the games while outside the US?

ESPN NCAA College Pass. There is a month to month option and a one week free trail. You won't be able to sign up until you're out of the US unless you have a VPN that allows you to select a destination outside of the US. This obviously won't work when we play on CBS but will cover you for all other games.

I live overseas and have watched all sports that I wanted for several years, including Aggie football or hoops games, using this approach:

1) Pay a few dollars per month for a VPN app installed on your laptop. I personally use VyperVPN by Goldenfrog for several years for about $10 per month.

2) Ask a relative or good friend still living in states for userID and password of their Cable company account to watch stuff streaming, I personally use my parent's Suddenlink account. Or, If your overseas trip is temporary, perhaps you will still be paying for cable account somewhere in U.S.

3) if you can't do #2 then you have tbe option of paying for a subscription to an appropriate 'League Pass' for online streaming of games.

4) you are set to go. StArt the VPN app and what that does is it makes your laptop look like it is being used from a U.S, city location. Then you go to either WatchESPN or CBS or Fox live online streaming and use that to watch free streaming of any games of college or pro basketball, football, baseball etc on ESPN, CBS, Fox, etc. , logging in if necessary using the cable company info. Or, you go to whatever League Pass site you are paying for.

Google of course the general approach above for any more details. Very common technique for expats.

Or if you want to go legit, SlingTV with the orange package and sports add-on is $30/month.

Hulu live tv works great - throw on a vpn and it should work just as well from anywhere...

You'll definitely need a VPN or else most content will be blocked. You can use an app on your devices (laptop, phone, etc. or you can buy a router and install a VPN so all traffic through the router can be made to look country specifc.

I suggest you test your setup prior to the season starting because you may encounter a problem with WatchESPN noticing that you are using a VPN and blocking the streaming service. Chrome browser will sneakily update your location based on your phone GPS sometimes. You can over-ride this, but it would be annoying if you have to figure it out as the game starts.

If you subscribe to a monthly service such as SlingTV or HuluLive, these are easier to fool than ESPN (directly) and YouTubeTV.

SlingBox would be another good alternative, but you'd need a partner in the US to "sling" the cable feed from. This would not require a VPN or streaming service subscription since you are essentially re-routing your own DVR feed.

I recommend the VPN app called TunnelBear. $10/month and it allows you to (appear to) be anywhere on the world. I used it flawlessly a couple of weeks ago to watch the JFF games when I was in Europe.

Here's a referral link that will get you $5 off your first three months of Sling TV (a total of $15).

I use sling box when I travel overseas and it's worked really well. Connect it to a friend or family members tv and you can watch whatever channel is playing on their cable box. I think it cost about $150 to buy, but there are no monthly fees and you're able to access anything on the cable box you connect the sling to even the dvr.

I'm no VPN expert. It was recommended and I found it very easy to use. I used it to watch Johnny's 2 games while I was out of country. I figured it was worth $5 per game. I don't intend on renewing for a second month. If i had a long term VPN need, then I'd probably do a little more research.

Word of caution... Sling didn't work for me when I was in England trying to watch the tourney.

I was able to VPN from Singapore and use my Uverse App to watch games on a Kindle Fire. Things have only gotten easier since then. All you need is a VPN and a TV provider app that carries the channels.
