Got a little bit of a raw deal here. Sumlin was looking for a scapegoat for poor finishes each season and he had already replaced coordinators so Jackson got the axe.

This. ****ty finishes were all on Sumlin's lax standards, not his staff. He was the only common denominator all 4 seasons.

I got the chance to intern under Larry Jackson and his staff while they were still at UH for a Summer.

I can guarantee he was used as a scapegoat and definitely knows his stuff.

Not surprised at all he's been hired to coach at the professional level.

He was already coaching at the professional level. I think what you meant was you aren't surprised he was hired to coach professional athletes.
