I hope Bussey stays. I think he'll have a breakout year if he does. I really enjoy the way he runs. Wish we could've redshirted Kibodi last year.

A few things after reading the thread.

There is a zero percent chance that we redshirt all of our RBs. I'd say 3 of the 4 play. At least 2, but probably 3. You don't recruit 4 running backs in one class and redshirt them all.

Elite programs actually redshirt less. The better you recruit, the less likely guys stay 5 years anyways and the more they are ready to play as fish. Mississippi State redshirts more than any team in the sec west because they recruit the least amount of 4/5 star players. Teams like Michigan State and Wisconsin make a living off of redshirting. Teams like Bama or Florida State when Jimbo was there redshirt a bit less because they have more athletes ready to go as fish.

People wanted to redshirt Kibodi, but if anything it probably works out better this way. With so many 2018 RBs coming in, you don't want too many in the same class. I could see 3 of the 4 playing, then Richardson getting eligible in 2019 would cause you to have 5 sophomore RBs if Kibodi redshirted. It also wouldn't surprise me to see Kibodi get a look on defense this fall, either. He's got the size for it, so once our other bigger backs get on campus, you never know.

I don't think any transfer this offseason. We only have 3 TBs on scholarship this spring. When the rest get here in the summer, it will likely be too late to transfer. I could see Bussey leaving after 2018 because he'll be a RS SR and could possibly graduate and transfer without sitting out a year. I could also see one other back moving to defense, be it Strong Kibodi, or Jackson. Even Corbin could play in the secondary but we don't have another back like him on campus so I doubt it.

Rolling out a 551 set on offense: 5 running backs, one qb.
you laugh but the wishbone is that formation, only substitute 2 TE's with 3RB's and 1 QB

This was like viagra for me... love the wishbone

Gave me a chub as well
Hopefully this will keep the games from lasting more than four hours.

ESPN listed Strong and Jackson as athletes

I suspect Strong was listed as an athlete because he might end up as a full back.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I hope I am) but didn't Jackson run like a + 5.0 40 yard dash? If so, how can he be a RB? Or a LB?

Edit- confused Jackson (who ran a 4.7) with another player. All good.
