Kudos to the 2 or 3 of you that posted the appropriate response to most of the trash in this thread . . . i.e. "Best wishes to the young man. Hope he gets his degree and does well." Classy responses, and that's the way ALL fans should react when a player chooses another school (yes, including Arkansas fans). Unfortunately, most don't.
On a side note, it's amusing to see how most (not ALL, but most) have transformed in the past 6 years. At that time, the great majority of Aggies wondered aloud when they would ever beat Arkansas, and spent the week leading into the game musing on how the Aggies would self-destruct that year against the Razorbacks, who had dominated them for the prior 50+ years. To A&M's credit, they have won six in a row. That's in the books, and nothing is going to change it.
On the other hand, to act like those have been "dominant" wins, and that the Aggies should - based on how those games played out - be expected to win 3 out of 4 against Arkansas going forward is a cross between ludicrous and ignorant. Aside from the ass-whopping the Ags gave the Hogs during Manziel's miracle season (2012), the other games have been highly competitive. In fact, an unbiased assessment would confirm that Arkansas blew at least 3 of those games much more than A&M won them. You might say that we "out-Aggied" A&M, ironically. This, during one of the worst stretches of football in Arkansas history.
So, yes - to the victors go the spoils! But I would caution you to not get drunk on it, Aggies. I know you guys are publicly getting all excited about Jimbo coming in. But privately, several of the Ags I know in the DFW area are very nervous that Fisher took that job to get out of the frying pan at FSU. If he thinks life in the SEC West is going to be any easier, well - he ought to know better. But we will see.
One thing I know is that Morris and company are going to recruit some great classes, including several Texas HS players, once they've had a year on the ground to compete with everyone else. Order is about to be restored in this series - and that means Arkansas winning at a two to one pace over the long haul.
Laugh now - but make sure it isn't a nervous laugh! And be sure to take a look back in 5 or 6 years; we'll see how hard you're laughing then.
