Sorry I am a little new to all of this. What does everyone mean when they reference "the zoo"??

Oh no, not a good question.

it's a long story, but the long shortened jist is this: the zoo is where animals make poop, now you may ask, "where does that poop go?" It goes to gardens, and rabbits like to sneak into gardens and munch on food. Now, rabbits don't produce all the necessary nutrients for you to survive so you would need to eat some other meat along with them, like beef. Now, beef comes from cows(I hope you knew that). Anyway, before we raised cattle in 'Merica, it was just buffalo everywhere, and them 'Merican buffalos are related closely to water buffalo over in Africa (Is it politically correct for me to say Africa, i feel like continents may be offensive but I don't know). Now, in Africa, you have Western Lowland Gorillas, not like the kind of guerillas we fought in Vietnam(is it okay if I say Vietnam), these are real gorillas. Harambe was a western lowland gorilla and about a year ago, we, the zoo, decided the only way Texas A&M would win a national championship was with the help of The Ghost of Harambe.

So yeah, it all started with "the zoo" and ends with harambe so we call it the zoo but that's pretty much it.

it's a reference to this forum, and the lack of decorum that one might otherwise expect from mature and sensible adults.

Zoo's are a collection of screaming bratty kids, moms in yoga pants that shouldn't wear yoga pants, hopelessly sad dads staring at moms in yoga pants that shouldn't wear yoga pants, zoo staff that walk around with a heightened sense of importance, and animals that throw and eat their own feces...kind of like here.
