Sips looked competitive for a change.

Their coach speaks and behaves like an oddball.

Texas would have beat us in that bowl game.

Texas would have beat a team the majority of which coaches were being relieved of their duties?

I'm an Aggie, but with all the young kids out there making plays and the recruiting class they have coming in, it appears they are likely to be a 10 win team in 2 or 3 years in that crap conference, (maybe next year.).

Hold on. True, they looked better. But Mizzou played really badly. 4 turnovers and a high snap safety. Hard to beat a good high school team playing like that.

And Mizzou actually moved the ball when they weren't shooting themselves in the foot.

Yes. Let's tap the breaks. Give t.u. credit. They played well.

They played well against a team that started the year 1-5 and then didn't beat another team with a winning record the rest of the way.

They finished 7-6 in the BDF. We will see if they better or if they just beat a poor team.

That would be true if they were building a 7 on 7 team. Their DL and OL recruiting is atrocious and will get them beat, especially with what little they have returning in the trenches next year.

I was surprised to see after the game that Missouri outgained the sips by more than 100 yards.

Four turnovers and some timely penalties made it look like a very different contest.
Thanks and gig'em

This^^^^^^. Mizz played terrible. The worst they could play. Totally unprepared.

Fumbles, safety interception. Disgusting performance last night.

The tu defense looked better. The offense sux.

See them improving next year but losing to the regulars again. Don't see more than 8/9 wins ok the high side.

Plus they're going to lose some qb. Got wayyyyyy tooo many

Mizzou played absolutely terribly and they were still in the game until the final 5 minutes. Texas didn't set the world on fire last night. They just played a grossly incompetent team

Yep. Mizzou didn't have any feet left to shoot at after that game. On the flip side, tu looked fast and excited to be there. They go into the off season on a good note.

Texsa would have been smoked in that game by the Ags and an interim coach. Their offense is complete and utter garbage.

Their offense is still horrible, they started half their drives at the 50 and only managed 14 points in the first half. Not to mention their first drive was aided by penalties. The defense will be worse next year and they still won't have an o-line

Yea they might get 7 wins in the regular season next year. That would be a major step for such a down trodden program. I'd say they are a good 6-8 years away from not letting OU d**k slap them and the rest of the BDF

Here is the takeaway.

Given a month before each game, Herman and coaches have the players and coaching to beat just about every .500 P5 team.

The problems are... they don't get a month and every team they will play is not .500.

The squeaked by a very average P5 team that looked sloppy and played poorly.

The reality is - they should have been a 8 or 9 win team THIS year. The big 12 has been and was this year absolute crap outside of 3 teams: OU, OSU, and TCU.

I think there will be a dropoff in the big 12 next year as well. All 3 teams mentioned above lose their starting QBs, and tu brings back a sophomore Ehlinger and a junior Buchele, but they do lose a lot of depth along the OL and DL. Despite that, they should win minimum 8 games next year based off their schedule alone, and if not then Herman clearly is not the dude to get them over the hump.

Something to keep in mind too, their DC Todd Orlando (who admittedly is a good DC) will be gone as a HC somewhere else most likely after next year.

So this just means they've cemented their top 15 ranking to start the season next year. Per usual.

There's rumors Buechele is considering a transfer and their other QB has jelly for a brain. Doesn't look good.

I didn't watch a single play of Missouri football this season until last night and then only about two drives in the 3rd quarter. They looked tiny, very very tiny; SEC needs to give them the boot.

Their defense looked no better or worse than it did all season, a season in which they lost 6 games.

The worst part is that even with a month off their offense was as bad as it was all season. There was zero improvement over the course of the bowl practices.

They won sure, but lipstick on a pig if your are really objective.

and, who were the other 2 against? Would you argue the Aggies are "good" because we also lost to (4) teams in the top 25? I wouldn't.

The sips are puffing their chests out for a coach that went 6-6 in the worst conference in college football whie we fired one for going 7-5 in the SEC. The two programs have a different set of standards.

I thought they had a great D all year long. They lose a lot of key play-makers next year and the same issues in the trenches and at QB and RB remain.

Their recruiting class is stellar by the aggregate numbers but did not really address the team's weaknesses this year. Their line was shockingly bad all season and that likely doesn't change. Their offensive scheme was not great and their signal callers are average in Buechele's case to a Tyrone Swoopes clone in Ehlinger's case.

They likely will be mediocre to good next year as well. With Lincoln Riley rolling and now Jimbo Fisher here now, the recruiting momentum will likely slow.

They can still be great under Herman, but the bloom is definitely off the rose and the probability of Mack Brown peak glory seems a lot less probable now.
