Why can't the "FBS" just have a normal, actual playoff format like this? So much better and more logical it's ridiculous.

FCS is underrated.

The again I'm probably biased as I was at Appalachian State when they won three national championships and beat Michigan at the Big House.

Would take away a lot of the drama of the regular season. The top 16 teams per the committee:

Clemson
OU
UGA
Bama
OSU
Wisc
Auburn
USC
PSU
Miami
Washington
UCF
Stanford
Notre Dame
TCU
Mich State

All the times they played and beat each other in the regular season wouldn't have mattered much other than for seeding.

The FCS is fantastic.

I remember an article a few years ago discussing the economic impact of the playoff games. The highest seeded team team hosts the game (regular season counts). Little towns like Huntsville receive a significant boost to the local economy that wouldn't be replicated by another Nov/Dec event. Kind of the good side of football economics.

Maybe SHSU can go all the way this year.

Don't think I would want S. Dakota State on my schedule.

Here's the beautiful thing; when you have an actual playoff, like FCS does ( as well as the NFL, High School, every other division of CFB, and CFL) YOU DON'T NEED A BLANK BLANK COMMITTEE!!!
