Sumlin is not an Aggie.

Your right he never has been and not many people who look like him either if they weren't cleaning up after the tailgate or running around on the football field or maybe even bouncing a ball or two.... Reality check!!
GFY with your racist crap.

As the current coach of Texas A&M's football team, Sumlin is an Aggie. Not that he attended or graduated from A&M....

Sumlin getting over $30M from A&M for being average to mediocre at his job. But let's tip toe around the issues and give him a great farewell tour!

In fairness to Kevin Sumlin, someone could claim that he made the right choice in starting Nick Starkel. If Starkel didn't get hurt playing UCLA, Aggies win that game and based on Starkel's performance since he has been back, A&M would have very probably won one of the 3 SEC games lost and would be now 9/2 instead of 7/4 and a good chance for a 10 win season.

Unfortunately for this narrative Sumlin continued his narrative of qb blunders and mismanagement by pulling a red hot Starkel in that game and putting in Mond....

Had he not made that mistake well.

Uhhhh..this may not deserve a response but Starkel broke his ankle against UCLA. Good move by Sumlin to put Mond in for him.

Did you even watch the game?

Starkel came out before that happened..

I see what your saying. Your talking about in the first half when he played Mond for a series in order to develop depth at the position. I got ya. Your right. Would have been best to leave starkel in at that time. I thought you did not watch the game!
Kind of a fine line developing players isn't it?

Don't think it's that fine of a line. In fact, it is this decision that got Sumlin fired.

It's obvious Mond doesn't have the same throwing capabilities (assuming that's why Starkel got the nod by Sumlin as well) after watching him all season. Beyond me why the hell Mond even comes in the game at that moment.

The injury to Starkel had NOTHING to do with losing a 34 point lead in less than a quarter and a half.

Nothing. 7 out of 10 posters on this board would have won that game if given the chance as head coach with that lead at that point in the game.

Many seem to have forgotten this. When it happened my OU buddy said "does he just try to have QB controversies?!".
