A luxury hotel in the middle of campus that costs $100k for the right to book a room? Does anyone else find this disgusting? What does this say about the administration's priorities?

As an Aggie I am disgusted. As a taxpayer I am pissed.

Is this is where my Association money goes, I can think of many better causes to support.

Wow how far we have gone as University that once took poor farm boys and prepped them for War. Now we have elitist that only have time for the big boys with the big money sacks.

Of all the things that I care about right now with A&M this is the least. If it raises more revenue for A&M and prevent tuition hikes then rich people can knock themselves out.

Why call it whining? There was a time where it was pretty cool to rent a hotel room on campus and next day and wake up to interview and hire new Aggies on career day. No way this happens now. GFY

So your complaint isn't that the hotel exists but that there are too many rich Aggies willing to donate 100K to stay there?

Really being creative on this one. Are you so dense that you actually think that a regular Tuesday room requires the "$100k" deal ? Its a damn Hilton and will be run EXACTLY like any other Hilton except the they will have a program for GAMEDAY weekends where rich guys can reserve a suite or whatever AND TAMU gets a nice windfall. You will still be able to have your little room for your interview at normal rates year round .....BUT you already knew that ..just looking for another reason to mindlessly pile on with the stupid outrage and foolishly worked up HATE ALL THINGS NEW...if we can incorrectly rip the admin we know NOTHING ABOUT jihad..

Nope didn't know that. The original message was a $100k was required to rent a room on campus. If that is not the case then so be it. Then it is the one who reserves the room first without the need to pay $100k before you can actually pay for the first nights stay.

You happy now? I just find it extremely silly to have to pay $100k fee for the right to reserve a hotel room.

I love seeing people defend the stupidity/arrogance of this hotel. I guess it makes people feel like they are part of the club.

I'm mildly irritated that they call it a hotel. It's insulting Bc in reality it's a condo for the elite.
