We did it more than twice. It's a tradition now. No take backs.
Even people who prefer the NFL game have always admitted that college football has a much better atmosphere, yet our ******ed leadership is trying to make our atmosphere feel more like a cheesy, contrived NFL experience.
Well that's our existence now; new stadium all new stupid ***** A bunch of greedy ****ers smelled blood in the waters and caused a frenzy.
Now our program and coaching is living up to everyone stupid joke I've endured over the last 3o years.

I used to live in Lexington, KY and was a season ticket holder at U.K. games...
They have a tradition on first downs where the PA announcer would yell "That's Another..." and the crowd would respond by yelling "First Down Kentucky !!!"...
Kinda sad to be cheering for first downs, especially when your team is down 34-0...

Arkansas has been doing that since I have known The Hubs, over 21 years now.

It's new this year. There's a lot that's new. Class of '09 and sat in the student section for this game because I had a friend from Germany and wanted her to experience it. Half our section left at half-time. No one passed it back. Everyone was on their phone and not paying attention to the game. It was a sad day. I was more disappointed in our student section than I was the boys on the field.
We have definitely said "That's another Fightin' Texas Aggie first down" and then everyone whoops for at least 5 years or so. I am almost positive we were doing it all the way back to my freshman year in '09, but I could be wrong.
That started in about 2002.
The students didn't yell it. The announcers made the announcement though.

The head yell leader at Midnight Yell Practice yesterday explained to the crowd the new "tradition" of yelling "First Down" when the the Aggies get a first down. After these instructions were given the announcer's recorded voice stating "That's another Fightin' Texas Aggie..." was played a few times so the crowd could practice yelling "First Down" immediately afterwards, as instructed.
If you want to stop this new "tradition" you will likely need to convince the yell boys and the administrators who oversee them to instruct the students and crowd to stop doing it.

I thought it was pretty lame for an Aggie crowd. "New tradition? Sadly, probably so!

Well after watching the Aggie game Saturday night and the Texans game Sunday morning it looks like these first down chants won't be happening enough for me to notice them.
