What age do children require tickets for the Rose Bowl

This is probably something that's been addressed as most venues have you buy tickets for little ones no matter how small, but I figured I'd make sure before I order my tickets. I have a two year old, am I required to buy him a ticket as well?

I felt like a couple of months ago I saw something about lap being ok and not needing a ticket at the rose bowl but I haven't seen it since then, so I probably hallucinated that thinking I could save on that expense.

Thanks in advance your your responses.

If it's breathing, it needs a ticket.

Wait until Monday and call the UCLA athletic department...

Sometimes if it breathes heavier and sweats more than most, it should probably get 2.

You are about to get some smart replies. May want to contact UCLA.

Children's Tickets: $5 General Admission tickets are available for Bruin fans aged 3-12 years for all UCLA Football home games (excluding 11/19 vs. USC). Children's tickets can only be purchased on gameday at the Rose Bowl. Child must be present at purchase. The Rose Bowl box office opens 4 hours prior to each home game and is located outside of Gate B (southeast corner).

This would suggest that under 3 don't need a ticket (I imagine so long as they are in your lap). But I don't see anything verifying that. Best call them.

Good news is you'll be able to enjoy the 2nd half of Dave South's first broadcast of his last season as you're leaving the Rose Bowl (assuming you can find a streaming signal).

Looks like you can get the two-yr old college fan in pretty cheap, but you might bring a few extra 20's to pass out to the fans sitting around you.

here you go...

Do not bring a two year old to a football game. For the sake of yourself and those around you.

Promise you nobody attends a football game hoping to sit next to kids in diapers

Thanks for the replies, looks like my two year old is in free and my other one gets a kid ticket.

Too bad kyle field isn't like this.

And to the concerns about making it through the game with my kids, of course it's unlikely this will go smoothly but it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the aggies in the rose bowl, so I'll risk it. If anyone is annoyed in the general admission sections, they can easily move.

Good luck.

I couldn't do it with my toddler. I'd be anxious the whole time I didn't have eyes on them, would probably be walking around concession stand if there was a tantrum, and seeing as how the kid just started potty training...no way. Crazy thing is, my kid is well behaved in public, but I know that'd be the day they decided to test me.

Just sounds miserable.

I'd, personally, hire a sitter or stay home.

Get them a seat. A 2-year old is big enough to have their own seat, whether they are "required" to have a ticket or not.

Now if both you and your partner are going and you have two seats between the two of you, God speed. But if its just the two of you, its difficult to wrangle a wiggly toddler with people on both side of you.

I love all the parental advice in this thread. Our little boy has already flown as a lap child 7 times in his first two years and our 4 year old daughter has flown 16 times already as we tend to fly a lot to go see family, so I'm well aware of the challenges of wrangling young squirmy toddlers.

Our experience will be somewhere between miserable and amazing, but having children hasn't stopped us from getting out and doing things. If the kids are terrible we'll head to an abandoned section (of which there should be plenty) and watch the game from there.

Can't wait to head down to Pasadena and celebrate a butt kicking of UCLA as my kids take in their first Aggie game.

(As an aside, both of them have been carrying around 12th man towels the past few days spinning them and yelling AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA so I think they're rounding into shape just in time to help the Ags win.)

My now 14 year old son went to his first game at 2. He did so well and enjoyed it so I bought him season tickets when he was 3. This will be his 12th seas8to attend5every home game.

We've been near some 10 year olds who were so coddled they were a pain.

Every kid is different.
