Texans would be dumb to not give him at least a minimum contract for practice squad reps and jersey sales. It's a guy on his last chance, playing at home, if he will ever find success it will be in that kind of situation.

He may never be good enough or dedicated enough to be a regular starter in the NFL; but he is sure as **** better than a good portion of the back-up QB's in the league. If he can sign with a solid team and develop; who knows.
Being at home can be a double edged sword. For all the positives of being in a familiar place with family that can support him, it's also a place with a lot of friends who could invite him out to party.Quote:

I bet this whole crash and burn thing was just a ploy to get out of Cleveland.
Highly incentive laden, short term contract......why wouldn't you at least try him out? The crap QB's that are getting paid in the league right now......no reason even a half-assed Johnny couldn't land a spot amongst that bunch of rabble.
