We had two football players in my pledge class when I was a KA at A&M. We didn't have any problems then. And.... just because we think a lot of the ideals of the south were chivalrous and honorable, doesnt mean we are racists. Dieu et les dames.
YES you were

You guys are all missing the point. Who was the last star player we had to be in a fraternity? Everyone who has been on our team who is in a fraternity has been a role player...it's yet to be seen if it makes that big of an issue on our start players

A quick google search shows plenty of elite football players being fraternity members. I think the bigger issue is whether a guy wants to booze it up and run around. Frat guys didn't stick Kenny Hill in that Northgate planter.

You know a good percentage of football players are in frats, right?
It never actually occurred to me that football players would, or even could join frats. Always just assumed they did their own thing, and maybe even weren't allowed to

I have read coaches increasingly shun players pledging a fraternity, but that is a recent thing. Historically it was very common for players to join a fraternity. A&Ms Greek system is so young that maybe it is different here but nationally it is very normal.

Josh Rosen is in a frat. Don't know which one, as if there were a difference...I went to baseball games, church, and did chemistry homework.

Lol. I am currently in a fraternity at TAMU. Not saying fraternities are bad. I was just saying, I don't think its a good idea to be a football player and be in one. If it's anything like my pledgeship, its a ton of late nights and very time consuming, which can't be conducive to good athletic performance.

Take a load off your mind. Jocks don't go through the same pledgeship as civilians. This is the same everywhere.
