Jason Cook was great at marketing Jason Cook.

No, that's almost certainly not because Jason Cook left. It's a brand wide, conference wide thing from Addidas that they would have been working on for months at this point.

Brags about his direct contact with upset Aggies
If you are trying to say that Jason Cook supported "Texas Aggies", you don't know what the hell you are talking about. If you would say anything about Texas Aggies to him or say how we should use it more, it would instantly say that we are the Texas A&M Aggies and we should not use the other term because it was confusing to fans.Sasappis said:ColoradoMooseHerd said:TXAggie2011 said:

I realize this was in the works but Jason Cook has been very vocal about his feelings about Texas Aggies and he was against it.
Then I am sure you can explain the Texas aggie merchandise that came out while he was here.
Or do you just pick and choose which facts to acknowledge and which ones to ignore.

Jason Cook didn't graduate here and was here only for the paycheck.
How he got authorization to override our identity as the Texas Aggies with his "branding" is beyond me.
The throwback uniforms are great.
That's not the problem. In theory, objectivity would be a great asset to your all-seeing marketing guru.Quote:

Wait, are you saying the VP of Marketing was concerned with outside perception?!?!SlackerAg said:
On Gabe's radio show, Jason mentioned he didn't put Texas Aggies in the endzone because it didn't "rate nationally". He was more concerned with outside perception.

People only really have a problem with Cook because he was a self-serving bureaucrat who took credit for everything positive in his tenure, denied blame for anything negative, blurred our branding almost beyond recognition, and queefed on the way out the door.
That Brent Z piece tells me everything I need to know about the guy.
Thanks for the "Golden Age," Jason Cook; we all know you were the real Heisman winner...in your incredibly deluded, arrogant, sociopathic mind.
Honest question: Do you believe for a nanosecond that Cook possessed national marketing research data showing how "Texas Aggies" rated (presumably in the annual "National Collegiate Endzone Artwork Perceptions Index, 2016 Edition") or do you think he just dropped some marketing guru language whenever he was asked a question on something he didn't care about?rcb05 said:Wait, are you saying the VP of Marketing was concerned with outside perception?!?!SlackerAg said:

He very well may have data as to recognition of "Texas Aggies", "Texas A&M", etc. That study wouldn't be hard to do.ChiliBeans said:Honest question: Do you believe for a nanosecond that Cook possessed national marketing research data showing how "Texas Aggies" rated (presumably in the annual "National Collegiate Endzone Artwork Perceptions Index, 2016 Edition") or do you think he just dropped some marketing guru language whenever he was asked a question on something he didn't care about?rcb05 said:Wait, are you saying the VP of Marketing was concerned with outside perception?!?!SlackerAg said:

If you ever work with consultants, you get this kind of BS all the time when they don't feel like defending a position or don't know the real answer to your question.
Cook's character aside, and yes, I actually like "Texas Aggies", too, isn't not using "Texas Aggies" an effort in the direction of de-blurring our branding?Quote:

This. You have to search the dark corners of the interwebs just to find a decent Aggie ball cap.RPM said:
as far as I'm concerned Cook did a sh t job at partnering with Adidas to create some really good sports wear. I've bought very few Aggie things in the last few years because there is mostly terrible Texas A&M merch out there.

Also will the Bevel be gone finally?

AO had tons of plain maroon, white, or black caps that only had the ATM logo or the lone star logo with an adidas logo. Hell, I sold four of them on classifieds a few months ago.
