Elite 2017 IMG Academy WR Jhamon Ausbon commits to Texas A&M
Texas A&M has been looking for another top-flight receiver for the 2017 recruiting class, and on Tuesday night the Aggies grabbed their guy when IMG Academy standout Jhamon Ausbon flipped his commitment from LSU to Texas A&M.
Ausbon, who played his high school ball in Houston before transferring to IMG for his senior season, has grown very familiar with Aggie program over the years. This summer he attended the YESSIR BBQ, and he took an official visit to Texas A&M when the Aggies hosted Tennessee. He returns to Texas A&M this weekend for an unofficial visit with the LSU Tigers in town for a Thanksgiving Day match-up.
Ausbon is the third IMG prospect to commit to Texas A&M’s 2017 recruiting class, along with quarterback Kellen Mond and linebacker Santino Marchiol. He also joins a receiver group which also included Hezekiah Jones, Camron Buckley, and Roshauud Paul. He is the Aggies' 23rd commitment of the 2017 class.
He is ranked No. 12 in the current TexAgs Texas Top 117 for 2017, and he is ranked a four-star prospect by TexAgs. He will play in the Under Armour All-American game, and he will enroll at Texas A&M in January.
