'99 here and my Aggie ring was stolen from my home in McKinney on 2/14/2013. I don't expect to ever see it again but my heart jumped a tad when I read the thread title.

I take mine off when I do work on the car, work with chemicals, tube the river, etc. Anything where it could get lost or destroyed. I also didn't wear it for about two years because I got a little chunky and didn't want to send it off for resizing. There was no way I was putting it in the mail, so I just lost weight until it fit again.

I just sent a message to Todd in the ring office, who I have had a previous dealing with on a similar subject, and asked him for suggestions and if there is a missing (not hocked) ring of that description. Hopefully that one will get home, too.

Sometimes they just turn up at random a number of years later. I stumbled across someone's lost ring while walking by some lots that were cleared to make George Bush Dr E in the early 2000s. The owner was class of '93 and her ring was stolen when someone broke into her house 8 years earlier. The thief must have dropped it along with a gold chain and locket near the street on their way out.

The AFS got in touch with the owner, who found someone she knew that was still in B/CS and I gave it to them.
