You guys are hilarious. I understand some skepticism, but would you rather us not recruit qbs until the very end because there is a chance they decommit? It's like taking a lead in a game and saying "aw man, i hate having the lead because I know we are going to lose it"
If you read what the kid had to say about why he committed, you guys could probably relax and take your skirts off.
He committed because of Mazzone.
A. Loves his system. Loves he puts guys in the NFL.
B. Mazzone and the kids dad have mutual friends.
If Mazzone is here next year, he's 100% solid.
Like the Tate situation, if Mazzone is gone, like Spavital was after this year, he will probably find another school.

I don't think anyone is being too cynical or anything. It's just with our recent history of decommits and all the turmoil and heartache in recruiting and with QBs in general lately, how can one get overly excited for a 2018 QB commitment when we are still 6 months away from the 2017 class signing.
If he sticks with us, great! Just no need to get overly excited 18 months before signing day.

Yeah I mean, it's cool and everything that he committed, but you can't get upset with us for being skeptical. Especially with how these kids behave when it comes to "committing" to schools.

My issue is with voicing it on his "WELCOME" thread. You really want the kid to come on here to see how the fans react to his commitment and read this whining garbage? Since he admittedly knows little about A&M, his initial reaction is probably that the fans are a bunch of titty babies.
For some reason, a handful of folks just can't help themselves, they have to make these negative remarks.
It's just that committing this early doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean they are coming here, and it doesn't mean other schools will not go after them. I say forget the yessir crap. Announce it if you want, but that's it.

For God sakes, how hard is it to just say "welcome to Aggieland" and leave it at that? Is it really that hard to say welcome without all the extraneous crap? You don't have to be thrilled with the yes sir stuff. You can understand a kid my back out of a commitment. You don't have to get excited. But why can't you just be nice and say welcome?
