I second that. We never go to the early games in Sept and Oct. No matter. The stands will be packed!

I had to look up who we play second. Wasn't planning on going to that game in any event.

Love the heat. Should give us an advantage.

Probably been posted...but is the field being lower and stadium being fully enclosed increased the heat on the field?

Don't know about heat on the field but definately hotter and fewer breezes in the lower stands.

Grow a pair.

2:30 PM is the premium time slot.

UCLA is practicing in temperatures < 80 degrees F with low humidity.

Those UCLA bassturds are gonna find out what "hostile environment" means as they melt down in the Texas sun!

The wrecking crew chant will be like thunder.

Sitting in the 100 degree heat sucks.. I might sweat a lot.. What's possibly worse than that?

Oh yeah, playing in it.

You'll be okay

I think the heat could actually affect UCLA, and I don't often say that. First game of the year in Texas heat after practicing in west coast weather all summer? I'm sure they'll have a day to adjust, but I bet they'll have some problems staying hydrated in the second half.

Team is practicing in 100+ degree weather (San Bernardino,) where they always have fall camp. Not UCLA's first foray into playing games in early September in Texas. No humidity, but staying hydrated goes a long way towards not breaking down in the 4th.

No offense, but I grew up in Houston...somehow College Station is blessed with Dallas temps with the humidity of Houston....they're playing in 100 degree desert air. It's not the same.

Texas really needs a no afternoon game in September policy. There is no point to it and they wind up with hurt fans and players every damn year.

Actually it's in the 80's all week in LA and their humidity levels are higher than College Station's. But it's a solid 10 degrees hotter here.

I remember Sept 8th 2007 vs Fresno State (we won in OT). Several hundred fans taken into G. Rollie for heat exhaustion. It was after that game that fans were allowed to bring in a gallon of water each.

Heat always helps the Ags.
I attended many a game in the late 1970's and the 1980's. Most of the time our seats were on the 1st deck between the 30 yd line and 50 (I was a BQ from 1977-1981) It showed in the 2nd half with heat related issues including cramps and exhaustion. Opposing players would come to the sidelines "beet red" receiving Gatorade, ice, and sitting in front of large electric fans. We would wipe our foreheads and faces with a towel and mock them and yell asking them, "Ya alright?". Teams from the west coast or northeast wilt in the second half every time.
