Notes from John Harris' take on Henderson
- Zaycoven Henderson is a guy that offensive linemen hate to block due to his size and build. His pad level size makes him a perfect fit in a 4-3 defense as a 3-tech.
- Henderson has great power due to his size, but he is also as quick as anyone I have seen getting up the field. His quickness gets him in trouble sometimes, because when paired with Daylon Mack, they would both fire up field leaving seams in the defense.
- Learning the defense and learning technique will be great for his game. Henderson holds the point of attack well. Once he figures out what to do with his hands, he will become even more impactful.
- The one thing that Zaycoven Henderson must do alongside Daylon Mack is to hold the point of attack while the other gets up the field. That is a tough habit for young defensive players to break. Once he develops that technique, he will be a bear to block in the middle of that defense.
- If Henderson and the rest of the defensive line can be solid and form a good foundation up front, the entire Aggie defense will be better.
- Zaycoven Henderson makes things happen when he is on the field. If he can work alongside Mack and Kingsley Keke, the defensive line for A&M will be really good.
