I lost any respect I had for him when I read about his #HiDad posts while partying in Cabo.

I have wonder if Johnny was on any meds growing up. Obviously he has addiction problems but I am curious if he has ever been diagnosed with any type of disorder. He just looks like a guy who cant ever stop moving. There is some medical data that suggests people with ADHD (especially those medicated) have a much higher degree of substance abuse as adults.

I've never heard his parents mention anything about it.

It's totally self inflicted after countless acts of stupidity.

Nothing wrong laughing at that.

He knows he can't make it in the NFL. Otherwise he would really be attempting a comeback.

He has moved onto the Paris Hilton/Kim Kardasian gameplan.

Be rich, do next to nothing, have tons of people interested in you.

He could have made it. Superstar maybe not. But if Weeden can stay in the league then there is no doubt Johnny could have. He just mentally flamed out and doesn't want the NFL life right now. Loves the party lime light too much. Is what it is.

Starting July 1st he's going sober and beginning to train. Lol, that NFL chance is already gone. Maybe he's training for something else.

Manziel has said he's determined to make a comeback to the NFL -- and tells us he's finally ready to get back to work ... right after one last turn up.

Sounds like a broken record.

So much fail in this thread. Just ridiculous. For those that say Johnny didn't have the skills to be an NFL starter, you're just wrong. He won the starting job in Cleveland, then lost it due to off-field actions.

I am a huge Johnny fan and hate what is going on right now. He only has himself to blame, but I continue to hold out hope that he makes the greatest, most unbelievable comeback ever witnessed. In life and in football.

Only in a loose sense of the word did Johnny ever "win" the starting job.

In 2014, he backed into it later in the season when Brian Hoyer wasn't effective and the season was a throw-away.

In 2015, it took injuries to Josh McCown for Johnny to get starts. He "won" the job in November (after a McCown injury) but he was headed towards poo-pooing that away and not just because he liked the party.

And I'd add that he clearly lacks the "skill" of being responsible and following directions which seems to have been a requirement for the Cleveland job, at least.

Praying for my dude daily. Good Guy with a Bad habit. About to make the most spectacular come back, personally and athletically, in the history of the world. Come on Johnny, show us all what a Fighting Texas Aggie can do, when he gets his mind right? Gig'em and God Bless.

What's up with this report that Johnny plans to become sober on July 1st? It's just going to be another failed attempt. Embarrassing! I'd be surprised it Johnny lived to be 30.

Despite a Browns team that was horrible, providing several dropped passes, no running game, and a defense that showed up in maybe 4 games out of 16, Johnny had 2 of Cleveland's 3 wins. He showed incredible guts and toughness in losses to KC and Pittsburgh.

His ability to play in the league should not be in doubt, except for the demons he is battling off the field keeping him off the field.

Again, the blame is his alone. If I had the opportunity he has, I would never waste it like he has. Of course, I never had near the ability he has to get such an opportunity. And sadly, the same psyche that drives him into trouble off the field, drove him into the record books and to the Heisman on it.

If he could only figure out how to keep his incredible competetive nature, his fearlessness, and his brilliant, almost genious, recklessness on the field and cast it away off the field....

Give me a break. The supporting cast around Johnny was completely laughable at Cleveland.

This last year Johnny went 2-4 as a starter when Cleveland was 1-9 in all other games.

In his last Cleveland game he set an all time Cleveland game rushing record for a QB against KC. Almost leading Cleveland to a comeback win on the road. The same KC team that absolutely destroyed Hoyer in the playoffs a few weeks later.

Johnny had the talent to play well in the nfl. Just made very poor decisions off the field.

Jerry Jones would sign him as 5th string (Romo, Prescot, Moore, Showers, Manziel) just to start him in a few preseason games so that Aggies will sell out Jerry World for preseason games.

Wow. That's your response. Okay. I don't disagree, he's likely done. It's very sad that so many Aggies ( I assume you are one) are revelling in this opinion. I will instead remember how great he was for the Aggies and hold out hope that he gets his life turned around.

Did it before with Bucky Richardson when the preseason game with Houston in the Alamodome wasn't selling well. Ticket sales picked up. Bucky was cut the day after.

The supporting cast argument is a tired one, meant to avoid comparing Manziel to the other quarterbacks that played with the same supporting cast.

McCown had a much better completion %, touchdown %, int %, TD/INT ratio, yards/attempt, and heck, even had a lower sack % than Johnny.

Johnny matched McCown's QBR. I'll give you that.

No one is going to give a damn that Johnny had the one great rushing game against Kansas City or that he "almost" won. They scored 13 points. He completed 40% of his passes, he threw an interception in KC territory. He got the ball into the end zone once.

He did win 2 games. He beat a 5-11 49ers team and a 3-13 Titans team.

He completed 8 passes for against Tennessee and ran the ball 3 times for 1 yard. Travis Benjamin had the game of his life. Yay?

They were the only two of his starts last year they scored more than 13 points.

McCown lost 5 games in which the Brows scored 20 or more points.

I actually watched quite a few Browns games last season. Johnny was not great, by any means. McCown was maybe a little better. McCown was in, what, his 14th year. Manziel's first game was maybe his 4th or 5th game.

In most every game I watched that Johnny played, Browns receivers struggled to get open, and when they did, they dropped many balls per game, at least 3 td passes.

For a second-year qb, Johnny looked like he was improving and heading in the right direction.

Of course, his off-field choices have cut off the chances of our seeing if the improvement would continue.

Make no mistake, though, if he had held it together off the field, he would be vying for playing time on it. He has the ability to be an NFL qb.

Why? His dad needs to shut his yap and stay out of the spotlight. He created what Johnny is. It's a bit hypocritical of his dad to say anything.
