Isaiah Golden, a former four-star prospect who was dismissed from Texas A&M's football team in 2014, was sentenced to 10 years in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to three counts of robbery, according to The Eagle.
Golden's sentence stemmed from an incident involving fellow former Aggies player Darian Claiborne during which both men robbed others at gunpoint during a marijuana deal gone bad. Golden will testify against Claiborne, who was also kicked off the team by Kevin Sumlin in 2014 following the arrests.
Golden, who starred at McNeese State last season, played along the defensive line in College Station while Claiborne was a member of Texas A&M's linebacking corps.
