Are the Ags participating in any satellite camps? On the radio here in Fayetteville they're talking about the Hogs participating in several.

Adding Houston and Oklahoma would be the nightmare scenario for Texas.

It would kill the current Big 12, establish the SEC as the MAIN conference in Southeast Texas and hit north Texas recruiting with an Oklahoma presence.

SEC schools would play twice as many games in the Houston region and TAMU and UH could build a nice rivalry to round out regional rivalries with Arkansas, LSU, and OU.

UT would scurry to find another landing spot, or go independent, and the Big 12 leftovers would back fill with AAC teams OR a handful would be forced to join the AAC....depends on who is viewed as the more desirable conference minus OU, UT and probably KU.

Hopefully, Texas Tech would be a able to win a conference championship in the American because if they can't do it there, there is just no hope for them.

As a dad that has 2 Aggie kids and growing up a coog fan in the sec this would be awesome.

The SEC has no financial interest in bringing another Texas school to the conference.

It's not necessarily about financial interest it's about protecting their investment in southeast Texas and locking it down so that they can CONTINUE to profit.

When the PAC expands, UH will be on the short list and if they add UH, Houston would become a PAC city with a strong SEC and Big12 presence. Not allowing the PAC to enter the market would erase that possibility and ensure the SEC becomes dominant by securing the 2nd and 3rd largest public schools in the state under the SEC banner.

An example I can give, even though its not a direct comparison, is Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

There is no reason to "lock down" southeast Texas for the SEC. They will continue to profit at same rate

Dartmouth..seriously?? Show me ONE article where Dartmouth is mentioned as potential P5 expansion candidate. I haven't seen any but I've seen plenty mentioning UH and plenty mentioning that UH may once again be the best G5 football program next season.

That would be interesting.

Why in the world would the SEC be interested in UH when they could add Virginia Tech or NC State?

I could think of dozens of schools who would make more sense to join the SEC than UH. If you want to add a second school from an SEC state (and they don't), FL St, Miami, Georgia Tech, or Clemson make the most sense. All would bring far, far, far more to the table than UH.

With all due respect to Billy we could easily partner with FCS schools in So Cal, Arizona, and Penn. Hell we could even use the FCS schools to do a traveling SEC camp with other SEC schools and raid the hell out of other conferences.

this satellite camp stuff is out if controll. what's the limiting factor- the number of coaches we have?

is this (the time it takes) taken from their erstwhile recruiting time, or is this just one mire thing taking them from their families? yeah, i kniw ni ones forcing them ti be college coaches, but its a shame what the arms race has devolved to.
