Same thing with Tate. "He gets us, he's red ass, he's a leader, can't wait for him to get here, blah blah blah"
Once he de-commited "I am glad we got rid of him, he's a midget, he's slow, he's a drama queen, diva, helicopter parents, Murray 2.0"....
Not everyone on here is so ignorant. He looks like he has good potential but I was not blown away with the guy. He just finished his jr year and for all we know, he could be topping out. in other words, it's too early to jump on the band waggon.
We now know his real interest was having less competition to start. That's fine, I can see the appeal in that. When the Mazzone wasn't as interested in as Spav, he started to waver. Understandable too.
However, he seemed to think Mazzone and Sumlin were going to stop recruiting QB's, transfers or recruits. We know this because his dad said as much in his recent publicised statement about the staff looking around. He thought that meant Mazzone was not his top priority. Did father and son really believe Sumlin and Mazzone would go into the 2017 season with just one true fish and one sophomore on scholarship by choice ? LMAO! They deserve the bashing and the flipping of fan support.
Get real! The kid is/was all about him and starting right away. He never stopped to think about the
team needing options at the position for the
team to make it through the season.
Also-
What are the chances a 5' 10' 195lb, true fish, dual-threat QB, plays all games? How likely would it be that even beats out Starkel who will have a season in Mazzone's system? By that time, Nick may be 6' 5" 220.
Chances Tate starts for any P5 team 1st year are slim. The kid has dreams of showing up somewhere and being 2012-2013 JFF. Great that he has those dreams but odds are he won't be even remotely close.
