Things went sour with Tate when we told him we were taking two QBs this class (which is what A&M has to do). He couldn't handle that and it the relationship went south from there on.

Netherly was taking visits when Tate was still committed. Moorehead speaking the truth on twitter, not matter how poor the timing was an excuse.

When you start saying "We don't need them!" to every single player, you need to re-examine the situation. Some of y'all lack the ability to look at the big picture.

When every 4* or 5* that commits to us is an entitled millennial, you need to consider that the problem lies elsewhere.

Yep. AM needs to be held accountable. His job is PR / sales, and he essentially just called out the "customers" that he is responsible for bringing to A&M.

It would be one thing to act like that if we were actually competing for trophies. We don't know how to recruit like a top sec west school without a Heisman qb on our team.

If he's not confident in his abilities and his chances having to compete with another recruit to be qb1, why should we?

Getting our ass handed to us by 4 of the other 6 west teams in recruiting, but we have a coach willing to go off on the attitude of recruits. Awesome work, coach.

There are very few <6ft QBs that can take an SEC pounding.

I tend to agree this is a good thing. Think about those two years with Johnny. He was the GOAT but was still limited by injuries because he just wasn't sturdy enough to take the pounding. Tate was even smaller. I'll take a 3 or 4 star QB who is 6'2 220 all day. And we'll find one.

I doubt we would handle it like we did 30 years ago. We know what they other programs are doing, we just need to emulate it. I am not saying we are clean but if we recruited like ole miss does, all the tweets in the world would not matter.

Like everyone, I am deeply concerned with Sumlin's recent recruiting record. He no longer seems to be able to close the deal with key recruits or keep them committed. Its troubling and when you combine this with with the sudden perception that he's unable to coach up kids, then it is apparent that there is a problem.

With that being said Brent Z. is spot on! I don't care how good you are, how many stars you have, or what you think of yourself, you aren't ready for the SEC when you are 18 and right out of high school. You need to redshirt. You need to get your academics in order, you need to find the nutrition center, you need to find the weight room, you need to study film, and you need to study for your classes. These prima donnas that "think" they are ready for the SEC right out of high school should be avoided at all costs. Sumlin needs to tell QB recruits that they are going to RS, and if they don't like it then they need to go somewhere else.

There are very few true freshman QBs that have been successful in this league, and unless your last name is Manning then you are no exception to this rule.

Saben knows this formula and wins without highly recruited QB talent. He knows that if he gets guys that can play and load up with talent, then he can find a QB. Sumlin should take note.

I think this will be a good thing in the end. Seriously I'd go get a bigger quarterback and not worry about it one bit. I mean really what the hell do these kids think the staff needs to do for them these days. I'm going to root for the kids we put on the field and not worry one bit about these prima donnas on the recruiting trail.

If they could somehow flip Mond and Ausbon, I think that is a plus over Tate and Netherly.

I swear to god if I hear "SEC READY" or "NOT TALL ENOUGH" one more time.
