I'm not surprised and I really don't care that much.
It turns me off when kids whoor themselves out on Twitter like that. Yeah, you're a great player, but the fact of the matter is you really aren't a big deal yet. You kinda haven't earned your fame yet. This really isn't meant to bash Tate, it's just the truth.
You said too much on the internet, just like Kyler did. Fans overreacted to it, because too many people care too much about the life of a 17-year-old kid. But there's blame on your part too. You flaunted your love for one school and got a little too invested in it. In turn, you get the fans too excited about you. I can't count the number of times I saw "gig em"s on your Twitter. You absolutely loved A&M.
Nevertheless, I do not take verbal "commitments" seriously anymore. By definition, a commitment cannot be a decision you can back out of. Verbal commitments say nothing more than "I really like this school and I think I'll go there." NOTHING more. Your commitment ain't s*** until it's on paper in early February. The end.
He'll probably go to Ohio State. Again, I just can't bring myself to care. We've put so much emphasis on having a star QB and it's bitten us in the ass. It really isn't high up on my priority list.
