Sumlin has lost control of the grand jury.
quote:Even if it is as you say it is. JFF is still to blame for putting himself in the position where this all could happen in the first place.
Seriously, he is the real victim and Crazy Crowely is the instigator.

This leaves a stain on his A&M legacy.

The boy is a sick, self-destructive ****** with an entitlement mindset. I would guess it is much more likely that he will be dead before he is ever being rehabbed. Some people are beyond help and I fear he is one of them. Though I figured he would be one of many Heisman QB's who would do nothing in the NFL, it is sad to see his life being wasted.
Let's assume for a second he didn't hit his ex. If true, why is he wasting his life? Because he didn't live it according to your narrative?
If he hit her, he should serve whatever sentence the judge decides. But outside of that, he's dome nothing wrong and he hasn't "wasted" his life because he didn't live up to your fantasy.
quote:His style of QB-ing never works in the NFL; he was never going to succeed in that league. But the Canadian Football League missed out on an exciting player for sure.
I don't think I've ever seen a larger instance of wasted potential.
quote:Come on man. We all hate that this is happening but we cant keep pretending like JFF is some innocent angel.
This really isn't anything. Just a bunch of people taking personal liberties at JFF's expense. Seriously, he is the real victim and Crazy Crowely is the instigator.

He doesn't care. You understand this, right?
quote:Pretty much this. Unless some crazy-ass baylor ADA wants to relentlessly pursue this to trial, this will be plead down to something like disorderly conduct with a penalty of 30 days' probation and a $300 fine.
JFF is just another ham sandwich. A good attorney won't have a problem getting an acquital.

Eh, when someone has a lot of talent and chooses not to use it, it seems fair to call that a waste. You're an accountant right? Imagine there were some guy who could add long sequences of numbers together in his head instantly, and could write perfectly straight columns of numbers even on unlined paper. If he chose not to account, wouldn't you think that was a waste?

quote:average feelings would have not resulted in a post like that.
1) Manzeil will never be on an NFL roster during the regular season again.
2) Manziel is not a failure at life. He is living it the way he wants to and that puts him ahead of most everyone int he world.
3) Manziel is not going to OD on drugs
4) Manziel does not need to go to jail.
5) Manziel is not the devil.
I can say one thing about him. He does not elicit average feelings (except with me).
quote:you're wasting your time....all the legal minds here already convicted him, indictment is just the final proof of guilt to them. i mean, we all know that indictment = guilt. a LOOOOOOOOONG time ago, summer 'tween my jr and sr year at A&M, i was at a pool party in Htown hosted by and at a BSC richie house. it got rowdy and someone took her stuffed 'n mounted sailfish off the wall and threw it in the pool. STUPIDLY, i rescued the prized fish, but all she saw was me with it...GUESS WHAT >>>> she filed a complaint, charges were filed against me, went to GJ and i was indicted; and i am a NOBODY!. anyway, skipping over the details after that, my lawyer did his thing and it all went away.
Again, people are missing the point here.
An indictment is a totally different thing from a guilty conviction. The standard is much lower to receive an indictment (probable cause and only 9/12 have to agree)
Additionally, the GJ is a one sided affair where only the prosecution can show their side and Johnny gets no defense.
We often cast stones at celebrities and give them the guilty until proven innocent treatment, but I know for a fact if anyone here was accused of a crime, they would not want to be treated as guilty before their legal process played out.

Manziel is essentially a Kardashian at this point. Time to put a lot of distance between us and him.
