The only thing we know for sure is that Briles has a knack for recruiting football players who subsequently are accused of sexual assault.

And covering it up
EVERYONE slow rolls bad news in college football. There isn't a single program that immediately calls the local newspaper and invites them to investigate the program when an athlete is ticketed for jaywalking. And there never will be one.

The issue at Baylor appears to be that the school itself is trying to not trigger Title IX consequences including civil lawsuits by not acting in a way that recognizes all forms of criminal activity both on site and off site as requiring a complete jettisoning of common sense, due diligence, and effective jurisprudence in order for the university to become a more effective and less controlled judge, jury, and executioner of male students not CONVICTED but ACCUSED of sexual assault against a female student.

While their actions might not pass the sniff test for a culture that has become ludicrous in its persecution of those that disagree with it and in buttressing and spreading the good news of gender liberty and fluidity, their approach is common sense. Innocent until proven guilty isn't just a nice drop line. It's how our justice system is SUPPOSED to work.

Briles is a ****ing weasel and always has been. From the steroid program he had running at Stephenville to the sexual assault sleeze at BU, he's a piece of **** and I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.

It's not a matter of acceptance. The ongoing Title IX investigation will eventually shed light on the pure scum that has infected that place.

I get where you're coming from. I hate the fact that society judges people's guilt before faces ever come out. That's how you get cases like duke lacrosse and UVA.

However, when you see that it has occurred numerous times with different players and the university has gone as far as seemingly punishing one of the victims for not shutting up, it's a little different. When girls are getting raped by guys that are there and have been previously accused of rape, that player needs to be heavily investigated. At best it would seem tha Baylor ignores it, if not try to hide it

No way. The Baylor Baptists are by far the most hypocritical group of people in the world. They've never seen success like this for the football program. They're drunk off it and will not get rid of him. They'll dig in further and wait for the next story to take the heat off of them until another player raping a girl gets media attention.

FIFY. Sadly.

Please don't insult Baptists by referring to Baylor as "Baptists".... I'm guessing you didn't know that long ago they were kicked out of the Southern Baptist Convention (i.e., they ceased to be a Southern Baptist institution), and hired Mormon professors. Definitely not Baptist by any definition I know !

The Baylor folks are blaming t.u. and ESPN. They say this is a product of Baylor becoming a stronger program than t.u. and now paying the price for that. Not that there can't be SOME truth to some of that , 2 things stick out (to me, anyway):

1. t.u. isn't sending players to Baylor to rape co-eds, nor are they getting the Baylor admin to look the other way when a football player is accused of anything. The Baylor folks would suggest sexual assault happens everywhere but doesn't get reported. Not going to be able to hold that party line too much longer if these things keep popping up. Besides, ESPN and the shorthorn north (DMN) aren't the only news outlet reporting this.

2. The chickens have come home to roost as for years, A&M was granted most-hated-nation status by Baylor for, well, I'm not really sure. I suspect historically a lot of Aggies have dated (and potentially married) a lot of Baylor women and the Baylor guys got a little tired of that. But this level of hatred never spilled over to t.u. for some idiotic reason -- sure, Baylor wants to beat them in everything and rise above them in prominence, but unlike with us, they never seemed to have much of a problem with their success. THAT may be changing as A&M isn't there to kick around anymore -- as much as Baylor wants to hold on to the SWC/early B12 days, at least in terms of rivalries.

For the record, I've been paying a fast ass drug pusher a couple bills a month. He's pretty quick dodging cars and seems to learn fast. He's a perfect recruit for Baylor, but he can spell his name by himself.

Seems like he deserves more. Does anyone know anyone in West Virginia with connections to the school? He's really a good kid.

I tried. I really did. Four times. Could somebody perhaps translate this for me? And for future reference, unless your name is the Apostle Paul or Mark Twain, please refrain from writing sentences that go for more than 3 lines.

President Reynolds left the Southern Baptist Convention due to the SBC stance on teaching evolution. Plus, in order to affiliate with the Baptist church can't one just claim to be a Baptist institution?
