Recruits could be paid "market value" with no limits...

Order not important...

I say it would change the current landscape dramatically....

Ivy League would be back!

UT, A&M, and Michigan would be tough to beat.

Just because a school has money to spend does not mean that it would be spent wisely

Hate to tell you that in addition to the sips; Baylor, OU, LSU, and OkieSt. all have more billionaire alumni than A&M. It would make things very rough.

I don't buy the Ivys as kids want to play in front of family and friends.

USC, Stanford, UCLA, UCal all have more billionaire alums than UM or the sips.

A&M - big alumni base, lots of money, and located in a football crazed state

tu - big alumni base, lots of money, and located in a football crazed state

Ohio St - big alumni base, lots of money

Michigan - big alumni base, lots of money

USC - lots of money

Notre Dame - lots of money, big fan base

Bama - big fan base

UCLA - big alumni base, lots of money

Oregon - Nike

Penn St - big alumni base

Florida - big alumni base, lots of money

Stanford - lots of money

Maryland - big alumni base and Under Armour

LSU - they'd figure out a way

Arkansas - Jerry Jones and Wal-Mart money

I know there are more than 10 here and I probably missed a few but, I think this is a pretty decent list

Edit: Props to OP, quality thread and question

I was being facetious mentioning Ivy League. They have less important things to spend money on

Great list. The only one I would question would be Maryland, however thats a school that no one would think about benefiting from the OP's money rule.

maryland was iffy for me. If they didn't have under armor supporting them like nike does oregon then theyre certainly not on the list

i assume you mean legally paid market value. You have to assume most big schools pay big recruits already, at least according to "The System: The Glory and Scandal of Big-Time College Football "
