3-Star recruits made up over half of NFL draft picks last year. Only one in the top 12 picks was a 5-star recruit. So the stars don't mean a whole lot to me, coaching counts the most.
You do realize that is because there are only maybe 2 dozen 5* recruits each year and HUNDREDS of 3* recruits each. Ya, there's no possible way that has anything to do with that "fact". Geez. So let's do some math.
Let's say there's 25 5* per year
Roughly 100 5* guys in all of college football on a given year
Each of the 116 or so schools has 85 guys on scholarship
So of the 9,860 scholarship players only 100 are 5* guys.
Thats 0.01% of players in college football.
Half those 5* guys aren't draft eligible bc they're either freshman or sophomores.
So you MIGHT have 40-50 5* guys in any given draft..
But yes continue to tell me how it's all the 3* guys who get drafted.
