This would be a fun matchup for both teams IMO if that is the way it goes down in the bowl selection process. Sumlin and KK on opposite sidelines, I am on board and excited about the matchup if it happens.

Although if your fan base and team wants to pout about it because you are "better than this" and feel you should have a better matchup, and not have a good showing due to the letdown I could get on board with that.

I suspect when the sting wears off from LSU loss many of you if you are honest will look forward to it as well.

Get off it Johnny Jaqoff.... You suck at humor. If tceh taught you to read, you'd see that no one on this board thinks we're "better than" a lower tier bowl.

You'll find that most of us don't want a lower tier bowl because we're going to get stuck playing a BDF team again instead of playing a team that we haven't been shackled to for the past 40 years.

Go back to tugging it over your last minute win against one of the worst sip teams in school history and leave us so we can continue to be pissed if at our coaches' ineptitude, brah.

Decent reply. Mix in a little self deprecating humor and take a subtle jab while you're at it. I give you 6/10 for you efforts. A lot of the animosity between our schools went out the window when you guys weren't on our schedule. There were plenty of fireworks though in years past and it would be fun to revisit the rivalry. I'd be happy to play any SEC school in a lower tier bowl this year, there are far less interesting opponents we could wind up with. And it would draw a lot of interest at least across the state as well, amongst other Texas schools.

This is the part where you guys dismiss Tech as not being a rivalry, and I point out that the overall series is pretty darn close and was even closer before we went on a three game skid in the Tuberville years and Leach's final season.

You most often get what you earn. A second-tier (euphemism for crappy) bowl is appropriate for our program this year.
