The offense went 3 and out all game... The defense did amazing considering the opportunities given to Ole miss.

Because the offense and the coaching are to blame. I think our D played a great game. And even if you disagree with that, they at least played well enough to keep us in the game. You even said that the score should have been 40-3 or something. Our offense just failed to capitalize.

before this year, we always stated that if we can hold a team to low points (23 is low), then we should win given our 'prolific' offense.

How many opportunities did we give them vs how much did they score? I think the answer there will tell you why no one blames the defense.

I'm no football guru, but if the offense never stays on the field, the defensive stats are going to look worse because of time of possession. Most defenses would have caved from exhaustion late in the 3rd quarter with the work the Aggie defense was doing.
Kind of hard to blame the defense when the offense wasn't on the field long enough to need a shower after the game.

Not sure Aftermath is serious. How can anyone who watched that game, come away with the conclusion the D sucked?? The Offense only had two plays on Ole Miss side of the field in the second half! Give me a break. The D played well enough to the win the game if the Offense had any kind of life. The Defense, yet again, was on the field for the entire football game.
Our D is unbelievably better. Our D played a great game...you'd know this if you watched the game.

Aftermath really really want the "biggest ostrich" award
we are on pace to throw for 3600 yds and rush for 1500 collectively, both DOWN from last year and years prior not to mention we have struggled to score points all year.
I'm just saying that we gave up 500 yards, would have been 550 if we hadn't gotten a bogus call in our favor. Everyone is calling for Spav's head.... we sucked all the way around...our DB's got burned and our linebackers gashed.... Poor O is not an excuse for the defense.
Total yards doesn't tell you much. It's a very misleading stat. Especially for that game.
