half empty.

I'm now wondering just how many people caught onto my sarcasm with the OP? The point is... The stadium was plenty full in the early on

Sad to see Kyle Field empty during an Aggie game. Goodness !

Sorry it was miserable in the heat. For some it presented a safety issue. Women and children aren't going to brave the heat.
quote:Sorry kk lite, but it only looked that way from your vantage point. The NEZ pretty much looked like the picture posted after yours through the entire game. The patches of empty on the student and alumni side were that way through the entire first half as well. Maybe the sun in your face blinded you to the fact that there was more maroon from the seats than from the people.

quote:This is laughable... The stands are always emptying out before the final whistle against a non conference opponent, during the september "heat stroke" games. Heck the first one that comes to mind was the Fresno St. game in I believe 2005 or 2006. A few will remember seeing the 12th man walk from side to side on the top two decks during overtime to yell because the stands were so empty. Yes, you can sit here and say "well back in my day that never happened" but we all know that is not true. It has always happened, as far back as 1985. I know I know... anything after 1985 is New Army and they've been going to hell since 1938.
Kyle field was so empty...by the middle of the 4th quarter.
Aggies (current and former students) used to stay the entire game, win or lose to support the team.
I have never seen Kyle that empty. At the very least folks should have been interested to see Kyler Murray get some P/T, not to mention just being there to be, you know, the 12th Man in support of the team. Not that the 12th Man was some kind of unique cool tradition that used to set A&M apart. It <was> part of the identity and uniqueness of the Aggie spirit, but it won't be if this continues.
Times have changed I guess. Sad day in Aggieland. Embarrassing for all of us.
I remember one of the commentators noticing people leaving last year during the Ole Miss game, and he was legitimately surprised-because it went against the reputation of the 12th Man never quitting.
I think alot of people don't realize the uniqueness we had at A&M. Live out of state for a while-some johnny come lately school will put down blue turf and think they have something special. We are losing one of the coolest long standing traditions in all of college football and personally that is really disappointing to me. I guess it's inevitable with so many alumni that everything will just get watered down to where we are like every other school? Bandwagon fans who get all excited when we win, but don't stay in support when we fall behind, or it gets hot, is that what we want. Or maybe it was just hot and everyone had a medical condition
