Yeah it isn't the number of games you get correct. Place your money on teams that you think will get an upset win or are close favorites based on the odds indicated on the pick off page.

So a lot of people put money on A&M last week to win which would obviously happen. You should have put zero money on that game unless you were throwing like 5 bucks on ball state because you thought they somehow had a chance.

You other guys correct me if I'm wrong, but I will try to explain it very simply.

You get a percentage of the money bet on the other team that is comparable to the percentage of the money on the winning team that your bet makes up.

For example:

The other team had 1000 bet on them by all people combined.
You bet 10 on the winning team. The winning team had only 50 bet on them. It was a big upset.

Your bet constituted one fifth (or 20%) of the wagered money on the underdog team who won. As such, you will receive your bet back plus one fifth (or 20%) of the money bet on the losing team. So your payout is 10+200 = 210.

Betting 5000 on a team to win that has 50000000000000000 bet on them against a team that has 10000 bet on them doesn't pay you jack. It keeps you from losing money, but it doesn't help you earn money.

The difficult part of this game is removing emotion from your picks and trying to find the valuable picks. You also can't spread your capital too thin.

It would make sense if you were trying to not lose money to pick on all the games, however you will never hit it big that way.

Most of the top people pick 3-5 games a week and put big money on them. They also pick games that have close odds or they choose the underdog.

I only bet about 5 games. Hit 100% of my games this week.

The winner last year profited somewhere around ~32% on average each week. You don't have to hit it big, but just be consistent in your winning. Of course it's more fun to hit it big.

Mine is never accessable till Thursday.
