Pieces of "old" Kyle Field stands

Did anyone out there manage to obtain a chunk of concrete from the original, first deck section of Kyle Field after the recent demolition (or from the first deck east side the year before, or the old horseshoe before the Zone)? If so I'd be interested in buying a small piece and I bet others would also.

From what I was able to determine at the time, the school planned to dispose of all the concrete from the west side stands demolition. I believe at least part of the first level was from the original 1927 construction, so that concrete had some real history to it. If A&M made no provision for allowing some of that to be saved for sale then I think an opportunity to make some money, plus create treasured mementos, was wasted.

My daughter and I managed to grab a small handful of grass clippings from the field after the Miss St game in 2013, but that's not the same as having an 80+ year old chunk from the original stadium.

I have a jar of Kyle Field air that I'm willing to sell. Ags only.

And the zoo goes zoo on the first post.

Though to be fair, I was just about to do something similar to what unmade bed did. Yes, I'm a horrible, horrible person.

In a totally unrelated question, does anyone know how many chunks of concrete can be produced from a single bag of concrete mix from Home Depot?

Funny. So I guess the answer is no.

I grabbed small mementos from a couple epic, old-time MBL stadiums in their last season plus a small piece of the Berlin Wall and thought a piece of the original Kyle Field would be cool to add to the collection. Sounds like I'm the only person who does that!

I was trying to figure out what to do with mine. It's a little large for a paper weight. Thanks for the idea.

I had actually taken about 5 little pieces from the original end zone. Kept them for a long time and then just decided to throw them away because they just looked like little broken pieces of concrete.

reed - That's a great keepsake...even better than a small chunk of concrete.

I had a nice sized chunk. But I sold it and it was later recovered at the bottom of a lake in Arkansas with a body chained to it

Investigation still ongoing

No he is not the bama guy, but funny. Don't think this guy has watched a game of football in his life. He thinks it's so funny how much I follow football. He calls Kyle my "temple". He also got me The end of a bleacher from G. Rollie White. It has aTm stamped on it. Gave it to my dad class of 69, growing up my dad and I watched a lot of bball there.
