I don't understand why ESPN would make their metric: "For the Ultimate ESPN 300 ranking, we incorporated both the prospect's grade and projection out of high school with his actual college impact and production."

Why include their projection out of HS when you actually have their college production available to make your assessment? It causes stupid results rankings like having Matt Barkley ahead of Manziel.

Lot of underrated Aggies on that list. JMHO

Nice to see a bunch of Aggies on the list. They mention that for freshman on the list, they forecast production for the next three years. This forecast must not have been that spectacular for Myles because he ended up at 22. If they included only their freshman year production and didn't assign a forecast, you could easily argue Myles in the Top 5, especially with him being ranked ESPN's #4 overall prospect in that year's class.

I kind of like this..
quote:
There are six quarterbacks from the state of Texas in the Ultimate ESPN 300, and only one was recruited heavily and offered early by the University of Texas: Matthew Stafford. The five who weren't offered or recruited as quarterbacks by the Longhorns: Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, Johnny Manziel, Ryan Mallett and J.T. Barrett.

To be fair, everybody knew Luck was going out of state so the sips not offering isn't a huge surprise. Especially when you consider that was in the age of the sips only offering if they knew you would commit.

1. They are sticking with Manti Te'o. That's blind loyalty

2. How do they have Clowney at #1, when he pretty much mailed it in as a Jr?

3. How do you NOT project Myles Garrett ahead of Clowney?

Clown:
2011: 36 Tackles \ 12 TFL \ 8 Sck
2012: 54 Tackles \ 23.5 TFL \ 13 Sck
2013: 40 Tackles \ 11.5 TFL \ 3 Sck

Garrett:
2014: 29 Solo Tackles, 24 Ast = 53 Total. 14.0 TFL \ 11.5 Sck

I predict next season will have monster numbers. He was double-teamed and held on so many plays.

Next season teams won't have the opportunity. We should have better LB play, as well as 2ndary coverage.

This. I'm not saying he's top-10, but easily top-50. And JD Injurme at #1? JFF and Mariota not in top-10??

Well, looking at #203 is proof enough that this list is absurd. Zero impact in the college game.

They'll have the opportunity, and the teams that ignore the Mack Truck and DaeDae will feel very, very sour before it even hits halftime.

And then they'll realize they can't block three guys with six men. Yes, I'm personally very high on DaeDae.

Any list that has flipping Jackson Jeffcoat rated ahead of Von Miller is an absolute joke... And NFL scouts agree with Von being taken is the number 2 pick overall... versus the undrafted free agent. It's just silly.
