This is interesting. I heard this same OP scenario during a phone call yesterday with somebody who knows somebody. I blew it off as hearsay, but to see it repeated here gives it a little more credibility.
quote:Best day to fire someone is on Friday
If true, then why give Strong the last in home visit?
quote:
I believe it UNTIL I OPEN ANOTHER THREAD
quote:Johnny went to Whitfield so I do not think this is the case.
She furthered what we already know here on OB and that's Kevin Murray wants to be close to his son. While Kevin Sumlin wants complete control in the development of Kyler.
quote:
Do you try to change the armslot on a guy who's 43-0, or do you just let "Vince be Vince" or "Tebow be Tebow"?
quote:Frankly, if the big issue is redshirting (I would assume the Murrays want one to put distance between Kyler and Kyle), then it would be easy enough to ensure it (we can pick up a decent JUCO or preferred walkon at this time) to be a backup and just say it doesn't come off until we are looking at connor mcqueen time.
I think it may have to do with redshirting as well.
quote:
She said "After the Longhorns offered Kyler and Kevin their pitch, the Murray's then returned to Kevin Sumlin to show them what they can have at UT."
She claims: "Kevin Sumlin had no choice but to meet the Murray's in the middle and now both sides are happy.
quote:Not only that, but both sides are happy now. However, Kyler is still getting an in house from Charlie.
I call bs on the op. Sumlin is ok with Johnny getting outside help but Kyler's dad is hands off.
I don't buy what your selling.

KM was never going anywhere. Like I've been saying since he tweeted that pic of the tu jersey and everyone started melting down, he's not going anywhere.
He's weighing all his options and covering all his bases, just like any recruit should.
In the end, he's an aggie at heart, and has been one since childhood. He has his father's legacy to uphold, and is a better fit for our offense. He knows he's one KA injury away from being the starter. He knows the backlash he would receive if he flipped. He knows in his heart his is where he wants to be.
So everyone stop freaking out. the kid will be maroon in a week. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
Oh, and feel free to bump this in a week.
quote:Weighing all his options makes sense, and one no fair minded person can blame him.
