Not likely at all.

Based on comments Murray has made publicly and his relationship with both Kevin Sumlin and Jake Spavital, there's a better chance of Murray
signing a multi-million dollar deal in June after an early-round
selection in the MLB First-Year Player Draft than being at Texas in
August.

Actually, you have to find an MLB team willing to potentially waste a pick that high. Unless he comes out and tells the MLB people that he is going to play baseball instead of football he, more than likely will not be selected in the first couple of rounds.

ZERO. It's baseball or aggie land. Everyone's going to look foolish after melting down the past week.

I'd say 33.3% now that he has an in home visit with Oregon lined up. Can't wait for this to all be over. One way or another, I'm ready to find out who are the true Ags and move on with those guys.

MLB is probably the biggest true threat but tu coming into the picture out of nowhere a week before signing day stinks to high heaven. There at least was serious interest in Oregon from Murray prior to and even after his commitment here.

If he's the good Ag that I think he is then he would sign with t.u under the promise that they won't recruit another QB and then take the MLB contract in the summer.

I would love to share the enthusiasm and confidence but I just don't see it. All who know the kid say that he is a good guy and not a media ***** like some. He would not put himself and his family through all of this unless he was not SERIOUSLY considering TU. If he is going to play baseball then why bother with all this? If he was going to stay with the good guys, then why bother with all of this? And reading between the lines of the comments by other recruits who were on his Austin visit, they seem to think he is TU. I don't know anymore. I have gone from super confident to 50/50.

Don't the teams get compensated if they can't sign him? (an equivalent pick next year?)

Only if they offer a legitimate contract based on the slot he is drafted. Only problem is, baseball is a what have you done for me lately business and they usually will not waste a high draft pick on a draft pick they think they can't sign. Anything beyond the second round wouldn't be worth him missing college for.

If he signs with the Aggies, will it be wrong of us to root against him during the baseball season? Like we all take turns going to his games to heckle him.... "hey batter batter batter, saaawwiiinng batter".

Him committing to us and then playing MLB is still far better than a flip. I would be sad not to see him play football. By all reports, he is an outstanding baseball player, but IMHO, a "dominant" baseball player looks like every other player 98% of the time, while a dominant football player really stands out. If he plays baseball, I'll likely never see him.

Right, but a pick is only wasted if he's not going to take it. He's not going to take it unless he's drafted in the first couple rounds. So if he's drafted in the first couple rounds, there's a pretty high probability he'll take it. Then it wouldn't be wasting a pick.

No one ever said 85%! I think you mean 8.5 out of 10, but obviously that's subject to change.
