How long do you want to ignore this user?
When I was at the game and heard this, everyone around me had no clue what the hell this was. I've never heard of it. Can anyone help???

It means someone on the defense is yelling things you'd hear out of the QB, like down, set, hut, etc.

Jasmin was doing it, it looked like he was saying hut and jerking forward to try to get them to false start.

I think it referred to one of our interior linemen calling whatever the VT QB was using (e.g. "hike, hike" to try to confuse the offense's cadence. Not sure if it really happened, but that is what I heard.

It's when someone on the defense says "Down" or "Hut" or anything that could make the OL think the QB was calling for the snap. If you watch the replay, you can clearly see Johnny Jolly move his head, neck & shoulders, as if he was yelling really loudly. That's why they called the penalty.

If you saw the game on TV, it was obvious on the replay.
