Why don't we have anyone working at Easterwood?

Steckel has logged 14 seasons at Mizzou as linebacker coach, six of them as defensive coordinator, and four of them as associate head coach. He got a $50K raise to $600K in March. I may be wrong, but I don't see this guy in much of a hurry to leave Columbia.

Yeah, Pinkel has a very cohesive group of assistants. Have been with him for years and years. Pinkel will never be a contender for the Broyles Award of getting his coaches other jobs.

This... And why would he fly out of STL, not columbia?

Steckel is probably our best option now.

And if we double his salary, I would think that would get his interest.

This is hard to believe. unless his doctor advised him to reduce the stress in his life...

... or his tax accountant said he could actually do better by dropping to the next lower tax bracket.

Steckel has spent the last 14 seasons at Missouri, and was a 2014 finalist for the Broyles Award.
