Hyman and Dodds have been awfully quiet as to who pulled for what, which makes me think that the "no" was mutual. If that's the case, then both schools athletic departments are gutless and need to check their egos at the door. As an A&M alum, I looked forward to this game every year. I have family that are tu alum that feel the same way. It's a football game, its supposed to be entertainment, lets not lose sight of that...

Nope, we only play with 10 players at a time. It's kind of a weird Charlie Strong phenomenon.

So, is A&M better than Arkansas still? Arkansas killed Ole Miss who killed y'all, right? And they shut out LSU who broke a rushing record against y'all, correct?

So who's the better team coming from that game played back in September?
I'd say Arkansas is better at this point in the year. They'll probably run roughshod over the horns.

Are you still better than WVU? You caught WVU after two incredibly tough games. They completely dominated you in the second half. I would be willing to say WVU is the better team.

Curious, should SEC block bowl games between tu and A&M to try and force tu to bring back the rivalry during the regular season...

I don't see either school wanting to waste the first rematch on a 3rd tier bowl when both teams are mediocre. That's not smart business.

I can understand why Dodds wouldn't have much to say.

Doesn't matter who dodged who for this game; bottom line is we aren't playing each other.

Why not play texas? Are we scared of them because they might beat us? Are they scared because we might be beat them? WTF? Neither one of the teams are really that good as it is so who knows? Are we protecting some image or what?

Again, the bottom line is that both schools need to be playing each other. If Texas really, really wanted to play us, it would have happened. If we really, really wanted to play texas, it would have happened. Both schools are BS- that game should have been played...now we get to go to Memphis and freeze our asses off in an outdoor stadium in a dumpy assed neighborhood. Thanks the powers that be on all sides: TAMU athletic department, texas athletic department and the SEC. Everybody talks a good game and nobody does anything about it. Maybe before I die I'll see another TAMU- TU football game, but I'm sure as hell not betting on that happening.

Both schools need to grow some BIG ONES and man up.

Nope. The rivalry is history. Time to move on. There is absolutely zero upside to playing tu. Zero. Meanwhile they would have everything to gain, we would have much to lose in terms of recruiting. We tried a couple years back, they chickened out. We make the call when we play, not them
Of course there's still a rivalry. We can say we run this state, but that's just words. Especially if all these whiny a$$ ags come on here wimpering about playing them in a bowl. Any time anywhere doesn't mean anything anymore.

I'm okay with skipping the match-up this year, because we're both so meh. When we meet again for the first time (assuming bowl game), we should each have 10 wins or better. That would make for much more of a story.

You're letting your emotions cloud good business sense. We will play them again, but not this year in a 3rd tier bowl when neither team is top 25. It's only been 3 years since we had a nasty divorce with them. It will probably be at least 3 more years unless both teams get really good in the next 2 seasons. All of your emotional rants aren't going to change the timeline. Relax and enjoy college football, knowing that we are playing in the penthouse of conferences and will have a brand new stadium next year and are about to finish our 3rd straight top 10 recruiting class in February.
