If it were OU and Texas instead of Baylor and TCU, then you would see Oregon mad about not making the final four.

I just don't like the rigged game aspect. Back in the Slocum era, how many times were we overlooked when we were rolling?

Same thing here.

I hate Baylor. But things like this make Texas better. Because if you are in high school right now, you realize Texas would have easily been in the top 4 with one loss. And that hurts A&M.

We weren't overlooked, we were consistently ranked Top 5/7/8/10, we would always lose a game (Tulsa, Colorado, OU) to take us out of NC contention.

Losing to Tulsa without Bucky was the killer, we could have won the NC that year, best defense to ever play college football IMHO, Bobby Bowden said so post-game.

We were overlooked because we played in the SWC post Arky. The sips were down. Our biggest threats were Cougar High and Tech.

My wife is a bear and she gets it. She has said many times this year she doesn't even like watching the Bears play because they don't play anyone worth a damn. We watched last night of course and the tu and OU game. But that's about it.

She also doesn't get why it's a suprise. Both them and tcu have one less win which equals a lower win percentage.

Her fear is now instead of doing the right thing and fixing the big 12 to compete as a power 5 conference the teams will just schedule another patsy game and still be looking outside in.

Not til the very end was the SWC viewed as weak and remember back them many conferences only had 8 teams or so (Big 8, Big East, etc.) and several time when we were ranked high we played 3 or 4 ranked SWC teams - UH, tu, tech, TCU, even baylor. Point being, it was the same then as now, had we not lost we would have played for an NC, as soon as we did lose we lost all arguments. We were also winning good non-com games vs Stanford, Louisville, OU, ND.

Had we not lost to Tulsa in '92 or Colorado in '95 we likley play for the NC in both of those years, definitely '95 as we were #5 going into that game.

This show is F'ING ridiculous, need to get to the rest of the bowls. It has been 90 minutes and no other bowls have been announced.....

We lost to Tech and the horns in '95, so no, we wouldn't have played for the title that year.

I agree about '91, however, which is why the loss to Tulsa is one of the worst ever.

Miami Herald thinks it's us and Miami. Or at least say it's a good possibility.

That would not be a bad matchup. Hell even Miami would be fun since we never play them. I just want something different and against a known team.

lol This is all Mack Brown and Texas' fault. He couldn't sleep last night because he knew TCU and Byalol were about to be hosed.

The team that should be left out is probably Florida State. They have no top 10 victories and are 15 in Sagarin. Their saving grace squeaking out game after game against an overrated schedule is an undefeated season as reigning NCs. They did play their best game last night, edging a surging Georgia Tech team

Wisconsin was a fraud. if we suppose tOSU, TCU, and Baylol are tied with 1 loss each

SOS goes to

TCU
tOSU
Baylol

Uh, no. Undefeated defending national Champs from a Power 5 conference. There's no way they can be left out, nor should they be.
