Kind of reminds me of the coach that Tomlinson built and we all saw how that worked out.

Sumlin is going to get a lot of heat if he doesn't win a SEC game at home this year.

As I posted in another thread
Sumlin walked into a great situation when he came here.
The SEC was not what it is today in 2012
Arkansas sucked
Auburn sucked
Ole miss sucked
Mizzou sucked
Miss state was average

Sumlin was handed a team with a heisman trophy winner and 8 future NFL players on it

Sumlin has regressed each year since. Likely finish with losing conference record this year.

Also no player development.
Name 1 player that is better now than he was last year or in 2012.

Every single first year player....
AGSWINAGAIN
How long do you want to ignore this user?
The team that Sumlin inherited had ZERO Heisman Trophy winners. Zero. He did have a three star qb from Kerrville Tivy. I, for one, am thankful that Sumlin made the right decision regarding this qb. I'm not sure ANYONE else would. As a matter of fact, because of his decisions he has one of the best records EVER for any Aggie Football Coach against top competition. When was the last time ANY fb coach had us ranked as high as Coach Sumlin has. Aaaaaaaaand this is in the SEC West.

As far as his salary, I get the feeling that our beloved university has made quite a bit of money because of Coach Sumlin (and his decisions).

I have faith in Coach Sumlin (and his decisions). We will win with him.

Kennedy, Ced, our RBs, Mathews, etc etc
plenty of development happening on the offensive side. The defense not so much.

Who cares? Tired of all the speculation and holding our collective breath for what some 17 or 18 year old kid decides. What will happen will happen. Time to stop building up these guys as saviors. That's how you get such an entitlement attitude going that destroys the team. Get some players here that have no chances and will give it everything. Ever heard the story of how Wes Welker got a scholly? **** star ratings.

Boo hoo, McNeal showing horns love. Blah blah blah.

I used to remember stupid tsip winers say that the only good thing that Mack Brown ever did was recruit Vince Young. You tittie babies need to go suck one.

We needed this win at home, and it hurt that we didn't get it. But you guys are acting like we were not even competitive.

We all knew with a new quarterback, that this was going to be a rebuilding year. We had a great start, and expectations skyrocketed with Kenny looking so good that first game.

However, this has been and still is a rebuilding year.

I still feel like this team turned a bit of a corner after the bama atrocity. This team could have completely given up, and mailed in the year. We have guys playing hard on special teams, and a ton of true fish on the defense due to injuries, and our Fresh QB showed signs of brilliance and signs that he is inexperienced.

I would take Sumlin over most any other coach. I just hope he figures out how to fix the defense.

How pathetic is your life that you're trolling a non-rival, non-conference opponent's message board on a Sunday morning? What's the matter, all hyped up after your team's win over Okie State?

OP, you idiots have gone full retard. You are the stupidest brand of inbred fool. Let me break it down so your stupid ass can understand:

1) if we had kept Sherman, Jameill Showers would be our starter today.

2) if we had hired someone other than Sumlin, like say Charlie Strong who was high on a lot of lists, not only does Johnny not start, he's likely playing for Oregon right now.

Sumlin had the BALLS to start Johnny, let him play his game, and put him in a position to succeed in a very fast offense. Sumlin had the wisdom to handle an unprecedented, turbulent situation with a freshman worldwide celebrity under incredible media scrutiny.

You *******s have no memory, have never done anything difficult in your lives, and understand nothing about leadership. Now just shut up and let the adults run things please.

Under JFF...

2012 against top 25 in SEC (6-2 SEC):
L to #24 Florida
L to #6 LSU
W over #17 Miss St.
W over #1 Alabama

2013 against top 25 in SEC (4-4 SEC):
L to #1 Alabama
L to #24 Auburn
L to #18 LSU
L to #5 Mizzou

If that's all it takes to get someone a raise then my boss should make lieutenant colonel by the spring

Edit: 2012 conference record corrected because I cannot read, thanks 4 thin inches

STATS dont lie. Never have never will. All you "get'em next year" guys need to get a grip and read the stat sheets. Over 431 yds per game givin by this defense. 11th in the sec running, 12th sec passing. Last nights game was an unmitigated disaster. It wasnt even close. Look at the stats. These boys are on a Jeckyl and Hyde team. Who will show up and at what time is a mystery to themselves and to their coaching staff. Lets face it: We Ags got bamboozled AGAIN. Lets all rush out and pay high dollar for a couple of Clowns (Spavital and Snyder). I hope this doesnt end a few years from now with us in the d@mn cellar and we run off Sumlin with his 5 plus million...................And lets all AGREE HERE AND NOW.. KYLE FIELD (and the coaching staffs retirement accounts) IS THE HOUSE THAT JOHNNY BUILT. Certainly not Sumlin, Snyder, or Spav. Flame away.

Hey Jack Cheese, you're the idiot. Your reading comprehension sucks. Nowhere did I say anything about keeping Sherman. Or what would have happened had we kept Sherman. I was merely pointing out that Sumlin was made by Johnny. Remember when we were all worried Sumlin might leave for USC or the NFL? Anyone worried about that now? That's what I thought.

And you, idiot. We're not going to win the SEC West, or anything else for that matter without elite recruits. It was a problem in the Big 12 (our recruiting) and we've only magnified that problem by moving to the SEC. If we don't consistently get top 10 classes we might as well not show up on Saturdays. Because 59-0 will become the norm.

We are in the top 10 in total offense in 2014 without JFF. We are not as dynamic and flash as last year but we are still putting up yards and points without him which was not expected at the beginning of the year.
Unless JFF built a horrible defense at TAMU then I don't believe that statement to be correct.

If JFF had been in a different ball control offense (like Al or LSU) then he would never produced the stats he put up in 2012/13. He excelled in Sumlin's up tempo offense
