No it's like snapchat/twitter except it's with athletes, actors, musicians, etc. More authentic and cool than paying for ink on a ball or card. Allows fans that send fan mail to their favorite athletes and other celebs to get a real, well thought-out response.

I hope you are successful because I have that type of Entrepreneurial spirit as well. However, that being said: it seems kind of pathetic to me to need the attention of celebrities. I just don't get it.

Good luck with this, but I don't see how you're going to get the celebrities on board. Is the portion of the proceeds going to the charities worth enough to get the celebrity involvement?

Corey's a former A&M athlete so he already has connections with guys like Wacha, Manziel and Evans. Obviously he's got to build up their celeb base. While I'm sure the app is geared towards all ages I think the real benefit is going to be for kids, or people with children. I know if I was a kid and got a personalized message from one of my favorite athletes I would be real excited.

With that said I won't be participating unless you get my favorite adult film stars on board. Haha. Just kiddin Corey.

Pro athletes, actors, musicians get thousands of fan mail sent to their P.O box each week that goes unopened, and not responded to. This is a solution to a problem that has been going on for 30+ years. Go look at the comments on celebrities pictures/posts on Instagram or Twitter.

It's also a change from sports memorabilia. People pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for ink on a ball or card that sits in a room or attic box. You can have these celebrities wish a happy birthday, anniversary, or good luck in their sport to your kids or anybody else to make their day that they would share and show off on their other social media accounts.

Celebrities I have talked to so far love the idea. While some are busy in season and might take some time to get their profile up, others are in off season doing absolutely nothing.

How much to buy stock in this?

I used to play basketball at the Rec with Corey. He's good people.

I didn't mean to come off as a negative nancy, just pointing out what the hardest part would be in my opinion. I have no doubt that the fan side of the app would be a hit, but I just don't see a celebrity wanting to have to respond to the thousand of request they will get every day. But it sounds like you have received some positive responses from some athletes so i could be wrong, and I hope I am for the sake of my niece who would love a response from Alex Morgan. edit: The Alex Morgan comment and TXM Pride's bring up another concern. How do you keep the people that would harass the celebrities aside from having the celebrity having a "Ban Hammer" feature.

hurleyag, I didn't take it negatively! The celebrities won't be getting thousands of requests because the price is demand based to prevent their inbox from flooding. Price increases after a couple are sent in and if the celeb inbox is gathering a lot of requests. It definitely isn't easy getting a bunch of celebrities to do it because this is new and it's hard to contact them, which is why this is a decent idea if I can make it easier for fans to contact them.
